Do you have to drive consecutively the 15 miles out not?

I absolutely would. I drive mine about 40 miles. 20ish twice. Gotta get it hot. If your car has lost power or won't drive that far, this won't work, that's a sign the element has completely plugged or broken up.

Why does the two pack cost more than buying two single cans separately .

Not sure but I purchase the doubles to keep on hand. The product does what it says.
