I don't really have like, a mudroom area, so I work really hard to keep this little nook clean because it has the most traffic in my entire house leading to the garage, the kitchen, and the laundry room. Between my family and my cats this floor will not stay clean. This really helps get shoes up off the ground and it's easier to sweep or vacuum the area. It sticks the wall well without nailing. You can do both. It comes with nails and the 3M adhesive. My only hesitation to not give 5 stars is that the slots for the shoes are not big enough for my husband's shoes. I kinda have to prop them on each other to stay in place. He's a size 11 men's and as you can see they're too big for the slot. My shoes fit fine.
