Intrepid International Pomms - Horse Ear Plugs 14hh and Taller Black (9508000000)

I purchased these to muffle the sounds of fireworks in our neighborhood. My mare can be pretty reactive to fireworks and will run around and snort. With these she calms right down and seems interested in watching the show. Granted, I have also stalled her on the fourth for the past two years and I’m sure that’s the biggest factor in keeping her calm, but in combination with the Pomms, she’s at ease. She doesn’t mind her ears being messed with at all so from the first time I tried them she never tried to shake them out. I think she actually likes the feeling of them. Anyway, they’ve saved me and my horse much anxiety!

These foam earplugs for horses are great for filtering out noise and keeping them calm in the show ring.

I bought these in a last-ditch effort to get my horse through another Fourth of July. These worked so well that when I took them out of his ears, he reacted like some kind of cartoon animal — braced all four legs and looked absolutely stricken... because the ambient sound had suddenly returned to his senses in a rushing flood! It was comical. I'd recommend practicing with them and getting your horse used to wearing them before you attempt to use them for a show or fireworks, etc. They definitely stay in their ears, despite some strong head shakes.

I got some of these before a really big show with my young horse and I’m so glad we had them. They are kind of hard to see which I liked and they worked really well.

These are a game changer at shows if you have a reactive horse. They go in easy stay there most of the time if your horse shakes its head a lot and rubs its ears they can pop out but most horses don’t mind them at all. In fact they seem comforted by them. We put them in for the trailer ride and don’t take them out until we get home. Then wash them and have them ready for the next show! I like the smooth design much better then the fuzzy ones we had before

It is a little expensive for how easy it is to get lost, much faster shipping and it was good quality :)

The only ear plugs my horses like. They work super well and hold up. They are worth the money. I have a younger horse and she loves these to help her focus in the pin.

Great for short use but fall out during long periods of time. Definitely need some readjusting for the fit because my horse has very large ears and they were still too big so we had to cut them down

Ich kenne die Pomms vom Turnier, einige Reiter verwenden diese während der Prüfung. Mein 20 jähriger Wallach ist seit 14 Jahren in meinem Besitz und hat von Anfang an ein massives Angstproblem beim Schmied. Besonders die Geräusche sind für ihr eine Qual, er zittert am ganzen Körper. Ich mache ihm die Pomms ca 30 Min. vor dem Schmiedtermin in die Ohren (das rein machen ist anfangs eine Fummelei, aber wenn man die Pomms an der Ohrmuschel VORSICHTIG Richtung Gehörgang "rollt" geht es) Mein Wallach ist mit den Pomms deutlich entspannter !!! Wenn man beim rein und raus machen der Pomms immer schön vorsichtig ist, geht das mit der Zeit auch ganz schnell und unkompliziert :-)

Der Gehörschutz lässt sich gut einführen und platzieren, allerdings fällt er beim leichtesten Kopfschütteln wieder hinaus. Die Ohrenmütze hat das leider auch nicht verhindern können, dass die Schaumstoffbälle rausfallen
