Long lasting, high traction, large footprint.
Definitely worth it for the $40. It’s made of harder rubber, has a flexible “ankle joint“ and a wide footprint. I’ve had my most recent set for almost a year, and they’re only just now getting around to the point where they’re about to wear out. BTW, this is after daily use. Pros: long lasting, large footprint, flexible “ankle joint“. CONS: tends to be very tight, trying to fit on a standard crutch shaft. Might require either a little Vaseline or some elbow grease.

The BEST crutch tips you'll buy
I've been buying Fetterman crutch tips for close to 20 years now. They're simply the most comfortable, grippiest, and longest lasting tip you'll find. I've been walking on crutches for the overwhelming majority of my life (35+ years). I bought titanium Fetterman LiteStix crutches back in 2005 and have been more than satisfied with them, the tips, and the handles. I'm very active (for being physically disabled and on crutches), work a full time retail/healthcare job, and hike occasionally - A set of these tips lasts me about a year and half. The cheap crutch tips you buy from a drug store would last me about 6 weeks. I've used both the Tornado tips and the Performance GT tips; I prefer the Tornado as they're smaller and lighter which I find suits my walking and activity better. I'm glad Fetterman is now selling these on Amazon so more people can see and experience them. They're more expensive than the competition but worth the price in every way possible.

Quality Product adds more confidence.
These crutch tips have made a nice improvement to my husbands daily activities. Before the Fetterman Tornado Gel Tips, we replaces crutch tips every 6-8 weeks, the regular, gray tips from the rare to find drug store. Here are the Pros: *they last for a LONG TIME with proper care. Just like you rotate your tires, or switch out shoes, we turn his tips a 1/4 turn every Sunday evening. *they really do grip the surface applied. *we can order here on Amazon and have them delivered * the gel, and design has reduced the impact (like a shock absorber) when his crutch tip strikes the ground. The Cons: *They’re a wee bit heavy. Nothing that can distract the user, but just a noticeable difference to quickly get used too. * as mentioned above, for dedicated Left side, Right side crutches, they really should be rotated. We highly recommend this to get the most mileage out if your sneakers, I mean crutches. FOOTNOTE: ***my husband has an unusual gait, specific to his needs growing up with CP. one crutch tip strikes the ground at approximately a 30° angle. THESE tips meet that challenge and we feel give him more confidence to walk head up and forward more so then always looking down to see where they land. He absolutely has less slips, and falls since using these. We are dedicated to the brand. When dealing with a chronic life challenge, it’s the little things, victories that can add ease to your daily life. We receive that here.

Best crutch tips on the market.
These are the best crutch tips that I have ever found. I've been an amputee, using crutches for almost 46 years. These tips provide more traction than anything else. They're a bit pricey but they make up for it when you realize how long they last.

A must for firearm crutches
My son is disabled, anytime we have forearm crutches we buy these. They last and work in any weather condition. Highly recommend. Long lasting!

Exceeded Expectations
After being on my crutches for 7 months due to an ankle injury I was looking for something that was better than the standard stock crutch tips. I was very hesitant spending this much money ($40) on something made from relatively inexpensive material. But I was SO GLAD to have bought these for several reasons. The cushion is amazing, I noticed it right away and makes a big difference in my daily life ( I spend 10+ hours away from the home every day) They do not slip on wet locker room floors. They do not wear out as fast as the cheap stock tips, they can rotate as you make a turn and do not grind away. After 7 months with cheap stock tips, I was so glad to have spent the last 5 months with these high quality gel tips. I HIGHLY recommend these to anyone who will spend at least a month on their crutches. My only regret was to not get these sooner.

Use With Caution
These appeared to be really good sturdy replacement tips for my crutches that I use 24/7 to walk, due to a neuromuscular disease. However, these tips have slipped on several different surfaces. My original crutch tips performed better, too bad they wore out. I do think these tips will last a very long time due to quality material and construction.

The best cane/crutch tips ever!
Because of my disability, I bear a lot of weight on my cane and after 25 years I've literally bought a freaking dump truck load full of tips! The cheap Wal-mart tips blow out (the cane comes out the bottom of the tip) right away and sometimes I would go through as many as three sets a day) but Fetterman tips are a Godsend! I started using Tornado tips four years ago and one set of tips (the standard tornado, not gel) will last over a year before finally getting smooth and could possibly go forever with out ever blowing out. The gel tips are even better! The first set I purchased are still good after two years! I bought another set for an additional cane I like to keep in the car. I've also found that I have a lot less elbow and shoulder pain with the gel tips as they really do a great job as cushioning the shock of the cane hitting the ground. In my opinion, you cant find a better set of tips! WELL WORTH THE PRICE!!!!

These are the Rolls Royce of crutch tips! They are not cheap but give you so much comfort and safety. You are worth it, especially if you are like myself already 11 weeks on crutches.
