LAURA GELLER Baked Balance-n-Brighten Foundation – Porcelain

Just received this yesterday and already like it. Goes on smooth, not heavy. Did not cake or leave patchy spots. Does not feel like I have any on! I got porcelain because if how pale i am. Works great, wish i got the next color too due to summer.

I try to resist the pressure of ads for products on social media platforms, but I kept seeing ads for the Laura Geller brand - especially this foundation - everywhere. For years and years, Bare Minerals has been my go-to, but as I've gotten older, it's just not working so well with my skin anymore. As I needed to order a new foundation, and the prices were comparable, I opted to try this. Great decision! I'm not sure if it's the mixture of colors, but this does give my face a more clear and luminous look (without being sparkly). It absolutely works best with a good primer, and I was so excited about this foundation that I've since ordered 2 of the Laura Geller Spackles - one clear, and one something like glowing rose (don't have the product with me at this moment). This lasts all day, without having to have a mid-day touch up or at least powdering of the nose. I've never really been a makeup snob, often buying items based on price and by asking "will this do?" I have gotten compliments on my appearance unlike any I've had in years. I've since ordered several palettes, concealer, and the setting mist. I could not be happier. If you're a gracefully aging lady, I would suggest you give this a shot.

I'm 44 years old and losing the battle on aging lol. I saw the commercials for this and thought I would try it. I want to address all three items in my heading since I have all that at the same time. My skin regiment includes a lot of anti wrinkle creams, retinol, and moisturizers, hence the acne I keep getting. I have gained and lost weight multiple times in my life so the wrinkles and textured skin followed. First off this is too light to cover acne. I recommend a concealer first. I tried layering multiple times just to see if I could get the coverage I wanted. By the time the acne was hidden I looked awful lol. The powder caked way too much after all the layers. Textured skin and wrinkles: moisturizer and foundation primer are a must! This powder is not the best for putting it right on textured skin especially if you want a little extra powder on some spots. It almost enhanced the textured skin I have on my chin. The foundation primer worked well for this and the wrinkles. You still can't put too much powder on or it will enhance what you are trying to minimize. On the positive side I think the color I chose worked well and the powder is very light and feels nice on my skin. It does add a little luminescent to your complexion. I did go to the Laura Geller website to chose a color first. I bought this from Amazon due to the sale price and Prime shipping. It was not cracked or broken, and it was well packaged in bubble wrap. I picked a cute little retractable Kabuki brush by EcoTools on Amazon also and I love it! Only $8 too! Overall I probably won't be buying this again. I was trying to find something that would shorten up my makeup regimen so I could skip the foundation. The commercials are very convincing but she has almost flawless skin to begin with. On my best days I could probably use this but I gave up on it about 2 months after buying it.

I usually wear light or fair in the spring/summer so purchased the porcelain for the winter. This is way too light. It is almost white!! It also has a lot of highlight in it and looks like a porcelain doll. Not flattering at all

WOW! Using this powder gives me a transformation of my skin without looking like I have make-up on. I am blonde, fair complexion with a tendency for red undertones (overtones?). Using a brush, I can quickly apply this powder and completely even out my skin. To me, my skin looks almost as perfect as the people who work at Ulta - yet completely natural.

I purchased this in 2 of the lighter shades. I wear one for summer and the light for winter. The foundation is more of a powder but just enough for me. It does not fill in pores or really cover spots but gives more of a glow.

After much research, I read this was a high-quality face powder that blended well into any type of skin as well as providing good skin protection & coverage. I compared the porcelain and the light shades to my skin and both looked to be very accurate. Despite the fact, the shades made by skin very orange. I tried both shades a few times. I applied the powder as light as possible yet once I was done, my face appeared way too orange even with these two very light color shades. I am a 55-year-old woman and I suffered from acne when I was a teenager therefore, I have a complexion that is not smooth in areas. I do have some wrinkles. I suffer from oily skin and I have pores. This powder, unfortunately, enhanced the poor complexion, the wrinkles and did not cover my pores. The powder literally sank in to all of these areas on my face. The powder literally creased into these areas. This made my face look worse aside from it looking orange. I’d like to add that the compartment this powder comes in is not easy to open. I had hopes this powder would work for me, but it did not. I was willing to pay the high price if it worked for my skin, but it didn’t. Please be aware of this information I’m providing if you have skin similar to mine. Based on my personal experience, I wouldn’t say this is for women who have wrinkles and pores that are visible. I’d stay away from purchasing this if you do. I’d say it is a good value for money if it works well for you.

I love this foundation. Be prepared it is not shiny at all which is exactly what I wanted domestically of their other foundations have shine in them. Porcelain is pale but it seems to blend well with my complexion because it is not full coverage. Great for aging skin.

Great foundation easy to put on and light brought Six more but the price went up $8.00 never mind
