I fought the whole packing cube idea for a long time, thinking they couldn’t possibly make THAT much difference...but I’m now an official convert 😉 Granted, I haven’t done any hands-on comparison between brands, so this review is about the YAMIU 7-piece set only. They seem to be made well (strong seams, quality materials, good zippers, etc)...and compared to other brands I considered, reasonably priced. I like these well enough that I will be ordering another set for my hubby before we leave for an extended holiday next fall. That said, the WOW-factor comes with what can actually be packed in them. I am an experienced traveler and can absolutely “do” minimalist, carry-on packing...but cubes take it to a new level. I use a typical, small, wheeled suitcase that can be taken aboard flights for the overhead bin (small enough for international travel). My work-wardrobe consists mostly of microfiber garments, so wrinkling is not a problem. Most often, I pack for a one week stay: 3 pants, 6 tops, a lightweight cardigan and the other necessities (undergarments, socks, bathing suit, coverup). To be sure, I am not a size 4, so these are real clothes worn by a slightly chunky, middle-aged woman 😆 It takes a little practice to roll clothing well, but when fully packed, the largest cube takes up just over half the suitcase space. I can now pack my entire work-wardrobe in that cube (which previously filled the suitcase). This allows me to pack extra shoes or even a pair of boots...with quite a bit more room to spare! In packing the smallest cubes, I’ll simply share what I packed for a non-work-related long-weekend trip: 2 pair denim leggings, 1 lightweight merino wool long sweater, 1 microfiber tunic, 1 heavy(ish) button-down shirt, bathing suit, coverup and a 3 day supply of undergarments, socks and such. I used the other small cube to compress my memory foam travel pillow and blanket...and could get more into that cube, if I needed more room. The two cubes took up about 2/3rds of my standard shoulder-carry bag, so lots of room for my hanging toiletry bag and a pair of flats...plus my full length raincoat neatly packed under everything in the zippered (shoe?) bag that comes with this YAMIU set. This brings up another benefit of using cubes: ORGANIZATION!! Just for the few trips I’ve taken since purchasing these cubes, I’ve seen how well things can be organized. Something as simple as not having to dig through my shoulder bag to get my pillow and blanket while sitting in the ever-shrinking airline seating space 😖 It was so much easier to simply grab that cube! Plus, it was just as easy to repack those items to put them away. In addition, for extended trips, each cube can be packed with specific items (like all tops in one and all bottoms in another). This would be awesome for backpacking or the proverbial living out of your suitcase. All-in-all, I would recommend these packing cubes for their quality, price, and usability.

ORIGINAL review - ... but as has happened many times before with previous Amazon orders, I am being asked for a review before having had a chance to use the item. I can attest to them being lightweight. But that's all I can report on at this time hence my 3 star average, middle-of-the-road review for the present. I have a trip coming up, i.e. the trip for which I ordered the cubes. After I return I will update my review of the product. 1st Update: I knew my TravelPro Crew 22" rollaboard would not be large enough for this trip, so I ordered and received the TravelPro Crew™ VersaPack™ 26" Expandable Rollaboard® Suiter. I decided to pull out the clothing for my 10-day trip ahead of time and see what I could fit into the cubes. I was able to pack the 7 days of clothing (I'll be able to do laundry at our destination) into the large, medium and 1 small cube without any problem. I previously viewed a few YouTube videos on packing clothing in the cubes, and decided to use a method in which each article of clothing is rolled into what resembles a cylinder, then inserted into a cube. Using this method promotes saving space, allowing each article of clothing to be neatly packed in rows of cylinders in each cube. After packing the clothing, I inserted each of the 3 cubes in my suitcase and discovered that it used about half of the available space in the suitcase. I am amazed at the amount of space remaining. In terms of usability, the packing cubes allowed me to pack as I intended, neatly and in an organized fashion. Final Update: The trip was a 1&1/2 months ago. I liked the packing cubes so much that I will probably use them for all of my trips from now on, even those which don't use air travel. I can see the benefit of packing all of my clothing in less space.

These packing cubes are great! I love to travel, but I hate to pack! These cubes make packing so much easier. Everything is organized, and I love the different sizes. They range from smaller cubes, for personal items, to larger ones that can fit multiple pants, and tops. There's even a bag for shoes, and two different size clear bags for toiletries. They definitely cut down on clothes getting wrinkled, which I love! They help make a more organized suitcase! I bought more, and then bought some as gifts. Please keep making these, because they're great! I highly recommend!

These cubes worked out great for me and saved a lot of frustration throughout a weeklong trip to multiple destinations. I especially liked the one with the zipper down the middle as it fit my hair dryer and 3 other hair implements. I still used a pillowcase to collect my dirty laundry during the trip because it's just easier but the cubes were nice because as there were fewer clean clothes they collapsed inside my suitcase. Everything stayed organized and I was able to see the rolled up clean clothing through the mesh. The clear plastic bags don't collapse very well so I supplemented with other bags and it was all good. The only issue I had was when I cut the tip of my finger on the inside of one of the clear plastic bags as I was shoving stuff in there. Not sure how that happened but I don't really blame the product or the manufacturer. That could happen with anything made from plastic. Also THANKS Amazon for same-day delivery! It was amazing that I received these within hours of ordering, just in time to start packing.

I've been pretty smug for years about my ability to pack carry-on for any occasion. Europe, two weeks, casual and dress clothes, travel books (in the days before smart phones with international service), multi-stop trips, one hot climate/one cold climate, room for gifts, etc etc. I roll, bundle, economize. I kept avoiding packing cubes because I didn't see the point in giving up one inch of space for the cubes, but gave them a try on an extended trip with multiple stops and climates this year. WOW! Never leaving home without them again! I researched quite a few and was a little skeptical about the YaMiu because they cost less and offered more.... but I bought them anyway. Love them. Love the lightweight but strong nylon with good zippers (two pulls - I love that so I can zip to the middle. Never have to fumble with which side the pull in one) and handles for easy in and out. Love the mesh see-through tops so you know what's in each bag. Love the different sizes. Love the shoe bag. Love the two clear plastic bags, great for wet and dry toiletries. And I even use the poly bag that the set came in as a laundry bag. Bonus! My husband is traveling often for business and he def loves them too! So very efficient in keeping things separate. Don't have to unpack ten things to get to the pants on the bottom; just lift out your pajama and socks cube, then your shirt cube, and voila! If some of my family are reading this review I guess you know what you are getting for Christmas! Thanks, YaMiu!! Update Feb 1 2019: Family who received these for Christmas are now reporting back and the reviews are great! You can move your pajamas or work out clothes and get to your dress clothes without actually "unpacking." They're like awesome drawers for your suitcase.

How did I now know about these earlier in my life?!? I bought 3 different types/brands of travel bags/sorters and this is by far my favorite set. Several sizes and they all fit in my bag wonderfully. These kept my suitcase contents organized through my 3-week road trip. Nothing ever got misplaced because everything had its own little bag to go into. Easiest trip (suitcase-wise) because of these great little bags. I bought 3 sets of this style and gave the other 2 sets to my teens who were also on this trip. Now they don't want to travel without them either. These bags are pretty sturdy too. I'm impressed with the seams and the handles. The mesh near the opening side of the bag was super helpful to identify which clothing or toiletry items were in each bag. The zippers run smoothly and the 2 zipper pulls open to each side of the bag. I will probably purchase more of these bags in the future, as I see it can be helpful with more than just traveling (like with organizing).

These packing cubes made packing two weeks' worth of clothing, shoes, etc. into a wee 19-inch carry on suitcase a breeze. Not only did all my stuff fit perfectly into the limited space, the cubes also helped me take just what I needed (and not over-pack like I usually do). Plus everything stayed neat and well-organized throughout my trip. The smaller 1 qt. TSA-approved toiletry bag was just right in size for all my liquids and was way better in shape and construction than the 3-1-1- toiletry bag I had purchased separately before I got this set. I used the larger toiletry bag to hold all my chargers and cables, and used the shoe bag for a pair of shoes and my mini-hair dryer. Even the TSA agent who examined my bag prior to boarding my flight home was impressed with the neatness of my packing and how much stuff I fit in there (more than I left with, even ;) )! The bags and cubes are well-constructed and look nice, the zippers are sturdy, and the mesh panel helps you to easily identify the cubes' contents without having to open all of them and ruffle through your items to find what you need. This set is a great value and versatile. I highly recommend them especially if you are a notorious over-packer like me who needs help paring down: they will aid you immensely in packing wisely and efficiently with much less effort than usual.

Used these to organize my luggage on a month-long trip abroad. I used to pack carefully and then dig through all my items to find what i'm looking for, and then have to repack constantly. BUT using these cubes made it super easy to rearrange, sort, and retrieve items from luggage. If you are changing in a bathroom, you can just grab the cube and take it with you, etc. Different cubes for certain types of clothing, or different days of the trips, however you want to organize but it is so helpful. They are super lightweight, but none have ripped, and I have truly packed them to the brim several times. I used to take travel with huge suitcases to fit all my items, but I was able to travel for one month using only a carry-on because of how compact everything was using these cubes (and clothes didn't get more wrinkles than usual). I wish they were different colors, so it was easier to differentiate which one i'm using for what type of clothing, but still really helpful. I chose this pack over others on Amazon because of the different sizes and types of bags included. Love the one for shoes. I will never travel without packing cubes again!!
