Easy to install , works great !!

I really didn't know how old & dingy my old ceiling tiles were until I started putting up these tiles by Art3d. Most of my existing ceiling tiles are 24" x 24" which means I'll be cutting no matter what. Thankfully, after a few scores with a razor blade, they snap pretty easily. Check out my attached photo - the old tile on the left is about 40 years old and the Art3d tile is on the right. The difference is stark & and even more so once you start clustering new tiles together. In addition to being light weight, I also love that they're lower profile ceiling tiles. There's some parts of my basement that copper water pipes in the ceiling & the genius who renovated this basement decided it was a good idea to shave a U into the old tiles for better fitment... Thankfully, with these tiles, I didn't have to do that. They're super easy to clean too. While the old ceiling tiles are porous & get grimy really quick when they get wet, these won't. Another cleaning bonus? They don't leave that dust around when you handle them like the old ceiling tiles. Honestly, there's nothing I dislike about these. They're competitively priced with the older style of ceiling tiles so IMO, there's no reason *not* to get these. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

These tiles do not drop below the level of the metal structure supporting them. Conventional tiles do drop below just a bit. This does not seem to be a problem, as it isn’t really noticeable. The pattern printed on the PVC surface is a good match for the conventional ceiling tiles I am using (see photos). The tile in the center of the photographs is the new one, and the older tiles surrounding it in the ceiling are the older, original tiles. I have several older tiles (50 years old) with water-damage stains, and these will be an excellent replacement for the older tiles that are stained brown from a plumbing leak that happened years ago. Unless you are looking for the difference between the older tiles and these, it will not be noticeable. The only drawback to these tiles is that the older ones are made of a mineral fiber and have good sound-absorbing acoustic characteristics. These new ones (Art3d), made of PVC, do not absorb sound at all. I will use these in the other part of the room where sound absorption is not needed. Rufus says “Best suited for spaces where visual appeal is the priority over sound control,” which I agree with. The tiles fit the original drop ceiling steel structure perfectly.

I’m planning to use these tiles on the ceiling directly over the washer and dryer in an older house. The ceiling in that area is very old and rough looking, and skim coating or repairing it is beyond my expertise, so I wanted something I can install myself. I’ve already spent some time looking them over and dry fitting a few, and they look really nice. The tiles feel easy to handle overhead. The surface should also be easy to wipe down, which makes sense in a laundry area. My plan is to clean the ceiling, secure them with construction adhesive, and add trim around the edges to finish it off. Although this will take some time to do, it feels like a manageable project using materials I’m comfortable working with. So far I'm very happy with these tiles.

I guess these are exactly as they are described, which may or may not be what you need. They are PVC plastic panels - think presentation-faomboard thickness but solid PVC - which have some flexibility due to the approc 3/8" thickness. One side is solid white, while the other is literally printed with speckles to imitate drop-ceiling tiles (the ink of the speckles appears dark brown, not black). A couple of my panels appeared to have some slight damage to the edge, though the box appeared undamaged. The seams after install are typically covered, anyway. There is some white dust leftover from cutting during manufacturing (i.e. microplastics), so I would wipe them down with a damp cloth and wear a dust mask during handling. Overall, for my project (a room in garage), these are a fine, waterproof panel that could have many other uses. I do think they are slightly overpriced -- don't think they should be more than $5 per panel, but that's just my opinion.

I've used so many of the acoustic tiles and while they work just fine, I replace them on a regular basis because they are easily stained or damaged with any sort of moisture or dust which easily gets trapped in the pores. These tiles are so much tougher than the old ones, the surface is smooth on one side and lightly textured on the other side but with no open pores. It has colored splotches that are nearly identical in appearance to the acoustic tiles. They are easy to cut since you can just score them and then snap them off. While they are more expensive, they are well worth the upcharge since they are so much better quality.

Nice lightweight PVC ceiling tiles that are easy to install. For ceiling projects, these PVC tiles work great. They are lightweight which makes it easy for a single person to install. I was able to use Loctite premium construction adhesive to stick these tiles on the ceiling and it was also easy to cut with a sharp box cutter. The material is PVC which is durable and easy to clean. These tiles will be an affordable alternative to use on my garage walls and ceiling on my next project.
