I think the perch might be too thick for a finch but I don’t know anything about finches. I’m sorry I can’t be of help. It’s a pretty neat carrier. My Green Cheek Conur loves this cage. She likes to hang out in there and munch on her messy treats\food! We bought those clipon metal pots separately and she loooooves this set up. We put little bit water in one and food in other. When she gets bored in her big cage we put her in here and move her around the house in different areas so she can be next to us but not on top of us lol ( bird people will understand) Easy to clean- open zipper and shake it out outside and if needs wiping use wet soft paper towel so you don't scratch the clear surface. It's pretty sturdy. Make sure cage has good air circulation, (dont cover the holes or mesh tightly) and dont leave it in direct sun for extended periods of time. Could get toasty after longer exposure but mesh sides and holes are sufficient air circulation in normal circumstances.We actually took our bird from Hawaii to Florida (moving) in this. She was in there the whole trip for at least 6-7 hours at a time. One time i sneaked my hand in there to put more paper towel over her mess on the bottom but don't let the bird out!!! We flew Alaska Air twice with her and they approved. Just let them know you gonna have a bird upon reservation of tickets. Its gonna be $100 extra to fly with pet in cabin. She was right in the cabin with us and mostly was sleeping and eating her food. It fit perfectly by the feet on take off and after sometimes she was on my tray table, hanging out in her cage and making people smile. Happy birdy! We partiallycovered her because of significant air circulation in airplane. Everyone was amazed how cool the cage was and that bird was on the plane lol Be prepared to be checked for explosives when you go thru security check but we didn't even have to take her out though. Easy!Also on other note if you take the bird out and about in this cage, make sure you kind of cover one end or top of it ( to give bird some protective security) because it's just too overwhelming ( we also partially covered her when traveling by air) for the bird to see everything moving by, esspecially if it's in the car with you. Overall great extra hang out space for our birdy!!!!People please be patient with removing the clear film whem you first get the cage. It comes of nicely if you don't rush and it is super clear after. See in picture. We have two of these smaller and bigger one and both had the film on sp it doesn't get scratched before you get it. Patience will pay of. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Could be a nice little carrier, but... *by A***D on January 9, 2025* This little bird carrier seems to be sturdy and well made. However, I am very disappointed in the "protective film" that covers all of the see- through plastic areas. This film is literally SEWN into the carrier. It's in every corner and every seam. It's under the grommets. (see photos) And it is difficult if not impossible to remove. I left the film on the outside of the carrier, but my birds will be in it and I can't take a chance on them picking at it on the inside. So I spent a considerable amount of time trying to remove it. It requires a lot of patience and very small scissors and I still couldn't get it all. The manufacturer needs to come up with a better way to protect the plastic.The carrier also came with a perch, however the washers included are covered in what I assume is rust. Could be paint? (see photos). Fortunately, I was able to use some of my own washers.The description says it comes with "parrot feeder cups" and "tracy" (what is that?), but mine did not come with anything other than the perch and installation hardware for it.This carrier is easy to set up, (once you get the *&$% protective film removed). All you do is zip it together and install the perch. Very simple. I think it's going to be the perfect size for my budgies.Overall, I think I'll be happy with this carrier now that I have that darn film removed.Editing to say that the seller has addressed my concerns. They were very easy to work with.
