Are hands backlighted?

Hi, no the hands are not backlit on this style. The Mondaine BackLight styles include this feature.

The second hand stops two seconds at 12 o'clock?

Could it be that your battery needs replacing? I have several other brand watches and when the battery is low the second hand skips a few seconds at a time.

Does the second hand move continuously? Or does it move once every second?

hello, it moves every second. this is a quartz movement, and so the seconds hands will move (and stop very quickly) every second. hope that helps. If you need more info, we are an authorized Mondaine dealer, happy to help.
