I am very pleased with the quality of this step up transformer. It is exactly as described.

I used it to adapt a 220V Washer (UK plug with a fuse) to connect to a regular Canadian 15 amp receptacle and it worked great. I was a little nervous because the washer was rated for 1600 watts. I used a device to measure the wattage draw and ran different washer cycles - it didn’t go anywhere near 1600 watts. The highest was 1300 and that was only on a special cleaning cycle that uses an internal water heater.

I have been using it for 6 months and it has been flawless. Works well and power supply is very stable.

The transformer is compact, looks good, and works well. But, and this is HUGE, it has an electronic on/off switch, rather than a physical one. If there's a power outage it obviously switches off, and then when power returns IT STAYS OFF. If you connect a freezer to the transformer, for example, and power goes off for 10 minutes, the freezer will stay off, and everything in it will spoil by the time you figure it out and press the on button. It's a HUGE DESIGN FLAW.
