Small but strong and light,,do not apply to much pressure,,excellent for fine smoothing off,,very well made,,they work brilliantly on stainless fine wire as I make my own fishing hooks,,if you are looking for a slightly larger set buy the bacho 4 inch six piece set,,it's ideal for small jobs and the metal files are about half inch wide approx,,it's a good un,all needle files are for smoothing,,but all in all no complaints with this set,,

Although these are rather more expensive than the cheap Chinese files, the difference in quality is immense. I have used these so far on brass and mild steal and in each case they cut perfectly and leave a perfect smooth finish. In my opinion they are well worth the extra money.
