Excellent natural silk
This has been an interesting experience as i haven't worked with silk, but this stuff is wonderful. If you've never used natural silk definitely do research as it is a very finicky material (naturally slippery and shows any pinholes so weights are best for holding the pattern down, but again, slippery) it arrived perfectly packaged with the amount I purchased written on the bag. Immediately tested with flame to confirm it was real. Held dye extremely well, actually had to remove color and dye again, it was actually much softer and more pliable after the second round of stovepot dye bath. It looks gorgeous, it has held up to all the abuse I have put it through and the price was fair.

Just what I needed.
Excellent price. As far as I can tell it is silk. I did a few tests and it powders into ash when burning, which is a good way to test if it is authentic silk. It's exactly what I need and it's a good size. I appreciate that it's yardage and not a fat quarter or something. This way there is a selvage and you can determine the weft vs the warp for embroidery or other surface embellishments. I would definitely buy again. I received a damaged package last time, however, it was replaced without a problem. The item was replaced and is in excellent condition.

It's Silk need I say more?!
This silk fabric is absolutely beautiful! The texture is soft and smooth, with that perfect natural sheen only real silk has. It drapes wonderfully and feels so luxurious to the touch. I used it for a sewing project, and it handled well — just be gentle when cutting or pinning. The natural color is elegant on its own or great for dyeing. Truly high-quality silk, and I couldn’t be happier with it!

Unexpectedly stiff
Was expecting fabric with a soft “hand” (drape) and this is quite stiff. Will find out while attempting to use it in nuno felting if that is due to a sizing applied to fabric or an inherent quality. As is won’t be useable for drapey end product but might work in making luminaries or vessels. Unless it surprises me I will not be re-ordering.Item also took longer to reach me than expected although I recognize it was shipped from China.
