One of the best products I own. Good looking, long lasting and very useful.
Best beard trimmer on the market. Charge last a very long time. Feels like I only charge it every couple to few months and I use it every day. Really well made. Runs smooth and no signs of slowing down, well after a year of almost daily use. Lots of options for length (.2 through 3 blade, even without guards). Great sophisticated and sleek look. Cuts well, I shave my beard, outer ear, eye brows and body hair. One of the best and most reliable products I own in any category

Perfect except one thing
Really great trimmer. It makes me want to trim my beard because of how easy and powerful it is. It feels great in the hand and the metal clipper gives a very even trim. So much better than plastic guards which I always feel never cuts perfectly even. There is only one downside. The lowerest it can cut is 0.4mm. So if you want to do some shaping, it doesnโt get rid of all of the hair unfortunately. But if you have a razor, can use the in addition to the trimmer for shaping. I like to shape my mustash ends so it doesnโt look like a handlebar. With my old trimmer, I could do this easily by removing the guard. But with this trimmer, you canโt remove the guard, so itโs a bit inconvenient. But have a razor on hand and it can solve it. Still I would like if it could go down to 0. Bit of a bummer but overall, itโs still the best trimmer Iโve ever used. So Iโm happy with it

Most reliable, high performance bread shaver for every day use
I've used the Phillips Norelco Beard Trimmer 7000 series since college (I'm now in late 30s). It is the only tool I use to maintain my facial hair and bread. The twistable dial setting (raises the guard up and down to align with the length you want) vs having to manually take off and replace guards makes shaving insanely easy. The hair trapping mechanism prevents stubble from landing all over your sink. Powerful output gets a smooth fade everytime without need to go over same area for many passes. Portable, charges quickly with excellent battery life, and longevity. I've had the model prior to this one for 7+ years before I needed to replace it. Would recommend highly.

Excellent beard trimmer
This is a great beard trimmer, solid and well built. The thing I really like is the fact it doesn't need any additional combs/guards up to 1cm, it's all built into the sturdy metal head. There is a dial on the trimmer that enables you to set the trimming length required, this is a god send for me as I travel a lot and am forever losing the guards for my OneBlade. Downside 1 - it's a sturdy unit with a lot of metal so is therefore a lot heavier than something like the OneBlade. It's also quite big but even given it's size it works very well and allows pretty efficient smooth trimming. It's best gripped by the rubberised part at the top of the unit for the best results. Downside 2 - it uses a special proprietary connector which is not USB. It comes with a 120V charger so not much use when travelling outside of countries that don't have 120V. You can get a USB C to special connector adapter from Yinke which seems to work well so far but means another thing to lose when travelling. Downside 3 - to do precision lines and edges you'll still need something like a OneBlade. I've given this a 4/5 rather than a 5 due to the downsides but overall a great product all the same.

Smooth beard trimmer, good battery life
Only used it a few times so far but so far: Does a smooth shave with and without the guard attachment; very smooth! works well; battery life seems great, I charged it for like 15 minutes and could use it right away; it feels good and solid and sturdy; easy to open and clean; it's nice that it is waterproof. The small case is nice for travel. I do not think it would be good for edging at 0.4MM shortest length, I mean it is enough to set a target line or something but you really need a razor or a shaver that goes fully down to the skin. But it is a beard trimmer, not shaver, so that is OK, I shave with something else anyways. Overall very happy with the purchase. Would be nice for $100 if it came with a couple other guards just in case yours broke though or if you wanted more length. If durability is an issue I will report back but so far it is great.

Very solid, gives a great trim. Should last much longer than the plastic trimmers.
My last beard trimmer was in the $15 to $30 range and worked fine for a couple of years until the plastic guard/comb broke. It was almost the same price to replace the whole thing as to replace the guard. I wanted a trimmer with an adjustable guard so I wouldn't have to store a bunch of parts and something more sturdy. This trimmer is solid, not like the plastic ones. You can tell when you turn it on. It runs smooth. I like the metal guard. It won't break and is more than enough if you keep a short beard or goatee. It should work for longer lengths but not sure how long. At it's shortest setting it edges very well. The guard does not come off but flips up for cleaning. Battery life is good. It has a lock for the on button (hold for 3 to 4 seconds). I never needed one when traveling but I have used it on 2 trips so far and it gives peace of mind that it won't turn on in my luggage. Yes it is pricey but it has everything I want and should last much longer than the cheapies I kept buying every other year.

Philips' Battery Issue, Two Trimmers Bite the Dust
I hate giving negative reviews, but...here we go. THE PREVIOUS PHILIPS' TRIMMER DIDN'T WORK: About a month ago I purchased the Norelco Multigroomer 5000, which came already charged to capacity. This was a great product until the charge dissipated about one month later. When I tried to charge it back up, the light indicator didn't come on and I figured I'd just check in on it the next day. Still nothing. Perhaps the problem had to do with the outlet. I plugged it into another socket, left it, and again, the trimmer wouldn't turn on. I began testing other products to see if it was a matter with the outlet and found my roommates' trimmer charged just fine. Thinking the issue had to be with the cordโbecause after all, upon arrival, the trimmer worked just fineโI purchased a second charging cable, which also didn't work. I jiggled the cord, made sure it was pushed in firmly, again, tested other outlets. Nothing worked and because I purchased and used the unit for about one month with no problems, the time to return it had passed. THE NORELCO 9000: Defeated yet trying to be optimistic, I decided perhaps I should go with the Cadillac of Philips' line, to really ensure I get a product which works. The first bad sign to me was seeing that a few of the recent reviews noted their product had hair already in their unit upon arrival. Firstly, that's absolutely disgusting, but you'd think Philips would really invest in some quality control with such complaints. So I purchased the unit thinking this particular matter would have been resolved. When my unit arrived, I felt immediate relief as no other human's hair could be found on or in the unit. I tried turning it on and the battery light indicator showed it was next to dead. No problem. I read the instructions and saw it needed to charge for a solid 2 hours, so I plugged it in, and came back after that time period. Upon picking up the unit, I was shocked to find the handle was hot to the touch! The charger was also fairly warm. After unplugging the unit, I tried to turn it on and the same low battery light came on. It was still completely dead. I am a manufacturing engineer and know somewhat about quality control and what can happen to a lithium ion battery if it gets too hot. The short story is that in extreme cases, it can catch on fire. CONCLUSION: These problems are absolutely ridiculous and unfortunately for me, consistent. Perhaps I'm a 'one in a million case', but I don't think that's very likely. The fact that other's have found human hair already in their unit can't help but make me wonder, how many of these units being sold as new, were already used and returned. Is this why my two purchased trimmers didn't workโthey were defective products, sent back and sold as new? To sell a already used unit as new is a horrible and shady business practice. This is coming from a person who often buys refurbished products with no problem whatsoever. I'm honestly shocked to see all of the rest of the positive reviews regarding these products and wouldn't recommend them to my worst enemy. Go with any other brand but Philips and sleep peacefully at night.

Yes. FINALLY a good beard trimmer
I've been looking for a high quality beard trimmer for years and years. It didn't seem to me that anyone was interested in making a Sonicare-quality trimmer, something that will last a decade +. I've tried the i-Stubble (two different versions), manscaped, some other podcast DTC brand that escapes me, all claiming to be premium. They were are made of plastic with crappy ceramic/dull blades, made to be replaced when the warranty expires. I'd use them until the blades wouldn't cut, then try to buy a better one. The entire time, I've been using the same Sonicare. It's over 10 years old, never any issues. I don't know why it didn't occur to me to try Philips for a beard trimmer. This is Sonicare level. All-metal blade and guide assembly, nothing to grow brittle and shatter. It cuts in one pass, likely because the tolerances are staying tight longer. Simple, robust adjustment mechanism. Waterproof cleaning. And it's a bargain if you're in the habit of replacing your beard trimmer every two years like I was.

I finally get why it's worth spending good money on a trimmer
My trusty Wahl of the last 10+ years finally bit the dust. I had traditionally used cheaper Wahls or other trimmers you'd find on clearance at Winners, TJ Maxx, etc. As a bald man my beard is my hair of choice and I have been trimming my beard for 20+ years at this point. I did a bunch of research and this one was highly lauded as being the most precise trimmer. I gotta say this thing met all of my lofty expectations and surpassed them. The 0.2mm adjustment will be excellent for doing a taper/fade from bald to full beard. I still have to get used to the precision this device offers and have only used it once so far. But my god that first experience was earth shattering and showed me why it's worth the price of admission. Super high quality feel, easy to maneuver, and as advertised extremely precise. A single pass gets the hairs to the same consistent length like I've never experienced. Usually I would have to do a few passes, and then go guardless to get any stray long hairs sticking out. This trimmer passes the "hand test" where I rub my hand on the side of my face/beard and can feel every follicle touching my hand at the same length. It's truly wild how powerful, and premium this device is. After getting this device it's hard to believe that I hadn't upgraded sooner, especially with how often I trim my beard and maintain it. For any of you guys out there questioning if this is worth the investment over our traditional cheaper trimmers, I cannot speak high enough praise about this product. And makes me question and regret taking this long to get a device of this quality. The precision dial is easy to use, and doesn't slip like traditional adjustable plastic guards. Do yourself a favour, and step up your trimmer game and treat yourself to this device. If you shave/trim your beard regularly you'll immediately be able to tell the quality and precision of this device is second to none. I'm still shocked I spent this much on a trimmer, but have absolutely zero regrets and look forward to mastering it over the coming months/years and enjoying it for the forseeable future!

Simply incredible! Winning!
It doesn't get better than this, let's just try to leave it at that. But seriously, there's no messing around with guards, no attaching anything, no weird gadgets, it just... maintains my stubble at a perfect three-day length. The battery lasts ages, charges quickly, and you can use the shaver while it's charging. It comes in a nice sleeve, of sorts, as pictured. And to address another reviewer - of course this only comes with a US charger, it is being sent from the US. Just check where it is being sent from before giving it 1/5 stars. It's more or less impossible to miss that detail, given that the postage is usually weeks away, and given that it explicitly says on the product's page, i.e. here, that it is coming from the US and it says that again throughout the tracking (of course). I've been using it for a long time with an adapter, with zero issues at all. To get it locally in Australia, that will set you back over $300 usually, so I think... to get this for $150 or however much, it's insanely good value, and it is so easy to either use an adapter (US to Australia of course) or to just buy a new cable, if you really don't want to use an adapter. It's not a big deal, and as I said, it saves you so much money. Shipping from the US was fast, great service from Amazon, as usual ๐ Truly, I can't recommend this highly enough. I spent so much money over the years, going from one trimmer to the next. I've had my current version of this shaver since 2022, but have recently re-ordered one, so that I have a spare. That's how much I love it! It just makes shaving a much nicer experience, and I've had plenty of comments saying that my stubble "always looks nice, neat, and at the right length". Winning!
