Removes water down to about 1/8 inch
Exactly what I needed.I wanted to be able to wash my cars in my garage, however, there is no drainage system in place. My garage floor has a slight pitch where the wash water pools to one side of garage. The pump is very powerful and quiet, but where this product excels is that it’s able to remove almost all the water on the floor.Unlike other pumps I’ve tried, this one has no float switch to automatically engage it, which I like.It is manually operated by plugging it in. Therefore, there does not need to be a minimal amount of water in the floor for it to operate. The suction part has the openings to let water in on the bottom of triangular “pick up.”It removes almost all the water, leaving about an 1/8 of an inch of water left on floor.I run a 50’ hose from the pump out to the back of my garage. The pump has plenty of power to move water under pressure over a large distance through a standard size garden hose.Highly recommend!!!?

Works well. Needs more pumping power.
Low pumping power.Great at moving shallow water levels.

Fragile, and needs oil priming
This pump has to be primed with oil each time you use it. I use cooking oil. And, the housing is fragile and very easy to break. I broke the intake in a relatively minor bump, but now the pump is unusable.

Money well spent
I love it, period.

Absolute Garbage
Thanks for sending me a pump that was returned. You didn't even bother to put clear tape on the opened box. They used gray duct tape. LOL! I should get at least 50% of my money back. Oh, and the pump stinks, it barely pumps any water, no wonder the first owner returned it. Absolute garbage.

Works just like the orginal
This pump was purchased to replace an exact pump that was going south after 8 years of removing gunk from the bottom of our Koi Pond during our weekly cleaning. On the original pump no lubrication or maintenance advice was given. But I always ran clean potable water through the pump and then a blast of pressure washer pump oil before putting it away (basically the pressure washer pump solution was 89% water 10% antifreeze and a tad bit of water soluble oil). This new pump recommends the use of mineral oil (baby oil) after each use. So now: clean water and baby oil after each use.

Bought it for water changes in the 90 gallon aquarium. Had been using a Python jet pump but that wastes a LOT of water while draining and we're on a well and septic system so that wasn't a good thing. I set this up with an inlet strainer http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B001447266?redirect=true&ref_=cm_cr_ryp_prd_ttl_sol_4 and a valve so I could use the same hose to the sink to carry water away from the pump and to refill the aquarium (just have to disconnect it at the sink and flip a valve to switch). Works great and easily matches the suction that the Python produced.
