Wire bristles have a coated end making it more gentle and safe. Does a great job brushing and catching hair. Both my cats love the brush. I have a bigger cat that loves more aggressive brushing and a smaller cat who is slight and thin. Love the push button that auto cleans the hair out. I just shake in the garbage and don’t even hair have to touch it.

Did not receive the product as pictured (which received 877 reviews with 4.5 stars, and should have included fine Stainless Steel bristles with tip protection, as advertised.) Instead, the product that was delivered is low quality, all plastic bristles, which are very hard on skin, and does not resemble the product pictured in this listing AT ALL. Returning.

I purchased this for one of my two cats. My tortie cat refuses to be brushed and i thought this would be a great way to gently brush her. Epic fail for her. Now, my other cat is in love with this brush. If I lay it next to him he immediately begins rubbing his face on it. The bristles are soft and the handle has an easy grip. For cats that LOVE to be brushed, this is a great de-shedder and easy to remove the collected fur.

I use it on both my cat and dog. It is the easiest brush I have ever used and easily removed shedding hair and things like burrs on their furs. Pressing a single item makes it very easy to clear the brush. It is the easiest usable pet brush I have ever owned and I have had cats and dogs for the last few decades
