Review: Outstanding Watch - I have 15 pocket watches that I like to wear with a vest or jeans watch pocket. This is one of the very best watches I have ever seen or held. Mighty be that the $500 watches might be better but they are outside my experience. It is very solid, has a mineral crystal, not acrylic, so it is not likely to scratch. I like the blue face. The chain is not the greatest but I was able to replace that with a heavier chain which has a t bar so I can wear it through a vest button hole. The replacement chain will accept a fob. Added a Saint Michael medallion in Sterling. Seems pretty accurate for a mechanical movement. Open face watches sometimes contain intrinsic stands that fold out. This one has a stand that folds out on the back. Works really well. Some open face watches have a heavy gauge wire stand that isn't very stable. This watch has a circular stand that folds out flat and is really stable, especially compared to the wire stand. Only wish my eyes were still good enough to make out the time from a distance. I got the watch in the intended box so I could give it as a gift. Since I plan to wear it myself, this is not important to me.
