Homax Ceiling Dry Mix Texture, Popcorn Texture,13 lb,41072085601

I had used a Homax pre-mixed popcorn repair mud once before and the texture was much finer and there was a significant difference in the texture. This dry mix package is more expensive, but there will be no waste as you can mix just the amount needed. Doing so is easy as mixing drywall mud: add water to a container, add the dry mix and stir. The size of texture pieces are a close match to my 1984 built home's ceilings. The mud is very easy to apply using a drywall putty knife. This container will cover lot of square feet, way more than I needed, but I will have plenty for the next ceiling repair job.

First time using this product, works very well in hopper. I'm used to doing a knock down , had a ceiling with popcorn that had got wet, so needed some new spray.. Very easy to use , Worked perfectly

Tried the spray can stuff. Didn’t get good coverage. This stuff is messy but works great. Used a roller and did 2coats on a bathroom Ceiling. Don’t bother w the spray can stuff. Not worth it This is what you want.

In the midst of doing a bus remodel and I wanted a house like look to cover a mesh metal ceiling. Used a roller brush and it worked like a charm. It covered the entire area nicely which is about 240sqft I used almost the whole box with just a little to spare. So I would say it accurately covers 250sqft. It was easy to use and apply and this stuff cleans up easy as well

I remember the day you could run down to the big box and buy this crap in a 40lb bag for under $10. We’ll post Covid and the fact that texture looks like a donkey I see why it’s not available, I’m anywhere but here. I almost ordered 4 more boxes, I just do not remember this going so far. I used less than half a box to do 200+ sf of virgin ceiling plus 6/7 patches, of the half I have a half a gallon sitting in the bucket that I’ll eventually have to throw away. Glad I didn’t order the additional as I wouldn’t have needed it. Overall I’m satisfied with the product, or at least as satisfied anyone could be with textured ceilings but can’t blame that on the seller.
