Not for the impatient, striking when complete
I've built around 30 Metal Earth models and this is probably the most difficult one so far. Do not attempt as your first Metal Earth model. It had a ridiculous amount of tiny pieces and required some advanced techniques. That said it looks way better than the picture when complete and it's quite big for a Metal Earth. It rests on the base so you can pick it up. It looks much better without the base so If you could hand it with fishing line it would be extra deluxe. A tip for building is don't worry about having the panels and everything lined up perfect until you are complete. Steel fatigues fast and having a joint break on this beast would be devastating.

VERY COMPLICATED BUT AWESOM
It's beautifully made, when i was a kid i could connect all peaces very easily, But everything is super small and is hard to remove every peaces from the metal board, which makes it a little more complicated, better have an extra fine metal cutter tool to avoid messing things. When i will be finished, i will be proud. It's really worth it but since is pretty inexpensive i suggest buy at least an extra model as spare.

GREAT MODELS! I've built 8 models from metal earth so far and love them all!
I love these models! Quality is fantastic, provided you have the tools and skill to assemble them. I highly recommend buying a mandrel and bending jig kit, also a good assortment of high quality tweezers and flush cut nippers are essential! I wound up 3d printing mandrels and jigs as needed but some kits are available. The models are all small! As in tiny! But the detail is AMAZING! One of my favorite kits was old man and the sea. The waves had legible text from the novel printed on them! You need magnification to read it but it is all there. Really incredible! I should also mention they have painted models now. I just got the Constitution (the boat) model it's one of their pained models can't wait to build it. Will leave a review when it's done.

Mostly Good Things To Say
I only gave this 4 stars because in theory it's a great build, but in reality it is nearly impossible to get a perfect build, and given that I'm a perfectionist, it's a little frustrating. Particularly the curved smaller (relatively, because they are all small) parts like the engines are very difficult to get right. For the ramps that come out from the Launch Umbilical Tower, I would twist the tabs, then fold them to get a tight fit. For the body of the rocket, I would roll them around a properly-sized writing instrument to get a good look. From afar it looks really good. Just don't take too close a look at it. It would be interesting to build this model at 2-3 times the size. Here it is pictured next to my LEGO Saturn V and my foam 3D puzzle Saturn V.

Challenging, but really cool!
Definitely not for beginners, but if you like this type of kit and have some experience, it's challenging and results in a really cool model. I bought this for my husband. He's built lots of these, and he's enjoying the challenge. For example, there are two small units that attach to the main cylinder (I circled them in my photo). They're small cylindrical structures with small solar panels attached. Half of the structure is silver metal; the other half is bronze colored. My description makes it sound like each one is made of at least three or four parts, but the entire tiny structure starts out as a single, flat piece of metal. You have to bend it to create what you see in the photo. And then make a second one. And then attach them both to the main cylinder. They're each less than an inch tall, so it's not easy. But it is literally the coolest bit that I've seen on any of these kits, and he's done dozens of them. If you're up for the challenge, I think you'll really enjoy building this model.

Recommend
This is my first metal kit I've made so it doesn't look super great but I still really enjoyed putting this together! All in all it probably took me 5 hours start to finish. This instructions aren't hard to understand and if you do have trouble, there's plenty of YouTube videos of people putting these things together. Don't try putting this together with just your fingers, the tabs are way too small for that. You'll need either tweezers or some sort of tiny pliers. And don't try popping the pieces out from the sheet without wire clippers, you'll just end up bending and twisting the pieces. The kit also comes with a number of spar parts for some of the more small and delicate pieces as pictured in the attached photos. I didn't end up needing any of them. I really recommend this kit! It's cheap and it's a fun little project. I've already gone ahead and ordered the Hubble telescope and Saturn V metal kits lol.

Very fun to build
My 1st one, and I love it. I have been a model builder since 1964, and I can already tell that this is my new “medium”. The don’ts probably will let you know what you are getting into. 1. Don’t be a “ perfectionist”, no glue or fasteners other than the tabs that fold in little inserts, ALL the pieces will not be perfectly butted up to each other like in a plastic model, it WILL be loosey-goosey! 2. Don’t be impatient! Don’t be impatient! Extreme patience is mandatory!

Only for pro
Tiny pieces, if you expect something medium, it isn't the case. Difficult to manage if you don't have the right tools, the appearance is good, but too complicated to put it together.

Patience required
This was a fun project to do. I think it would be nice to be a little bigger. Take your time in building this model, it wasn't hard to follow the directions. I did have to go back a couple of times to add a forgotten piece. One tab broke off from being bent over, after straitening it, it fell off, but a small dab of super glue helped. Only needed to use glue twice. Watch your twist and bending of tabs. My tools were fine needle nose pliers, hobby scissors. Tweezers did not work for me. The shuttle - purchased many years ago, it is standard die cast model, definately not model scale, but adds to the model to make it more authentic.
