I use them on my 6 months old (since birth) and my five year old borrows them sometimes. **Q: Can you take the bows off to wear without the headband?** A: No, they're glued to the headband. If you want to take it apart then find a way to stick to whatever u want to wear it. **Q: How can I clean these? Was hoping to put them in a garment bag on delicate cycle.** A: I accidentally dropped one in the washer with baby clothes on gentle cycle and came out in great condition. **Q: Can these bows be washed?** A: I hand wash them with baby soap.
