I have hair loss from a medication and these headbands conceal it and my receding hairline so nicely! There's one to match anything and everything I wear! If I buy a selection and don't like one of the colors, I give them out as gifts and everyone I've given one to, loves it!They don't need to be messed with every five minutes, to keep them in place, maybe readjusted once or twice a day. They make me forget how much hair I've lost. Can't tell you how wearing other headbands, that need to be fussed with all day can keep something as devastating to a woman, as losing her hair, in the forefront of her mind and how annoying that is.Now, instead of throwing money away on horrible headbands, I have a nice collection of these, that I get complements on all the time! I recently had thyroid surgery and I’m going on a trip to Hawaii 2.5 weeks after the surgery, which is too soon to start putting sunscreen on my incision site, so I wanted something to cover up my neck and protect it from the sun. As for wearing them as headbands, etc., I might try that later, but right now I have just been wearing them loosely scrunched up around my neck whenever I go outside to protect from the sun.These bands feel soft and silky, are very stretchy, and are a nice long length. The edges aren’t finished, which is fine with me because it would probably irritate my neck if they were finished. When I first started wearing them, the material irritated my neck a bit (but not nearly as much as the bandanas I had been wearing), and that’s probably because I was 4-5 days post surgery and anything touching my neck irritated it. Now at 2 weeks post surgery, they feel soft and silky against my neck. I am still wearing a thin bandage over the incision site, so I’m not entirely relying on this head band for sun protection – I don’t want to take any chances in Hawaii.I love a lot of the designs and the colors are great. I’ve included some full length pictures of some of my favorite designs. I wish there were some of the more tropical designs in other colors (like blue, I love blue!), but there is a great variety and you get so many for a great price! I can’t imagine spending more for just one band. I’m not sure how well the colors wash, so I think I’m just going to soak them in the sink with soapy water and rinse with hot water when they get sweaty (I just washed my first two this way, whites stayed white, water didn’t turn pink or purple, so that is good!).I think these bands are a lovely option for me right now while I need to protect my neck.Update:After a second thyroid surgery in 2 months and lots of hot sweaty summer running, I wear these things all the time and just throw them in the washer/dryer on regular. I throw them in with coloreds and whites and have had no problems.
