Was having issue with start up and idle, after replacement started up first time every time and idle perfectly

I used this on my 2003 f25 4 stroke. It needed a little adjustment but I got it dialed in pretty easily

I’m not particularly mechanical but I installed this carburetor on my 2013 20hp Yamaha 4 stroke outboard and after a couple of squeezes of the primer ball on the fuel line it started first pull. It did idle higher than it should but a quick adjustment with a screwdriver and it runs perfectly. Very impressed so far, will update if I have problems.

My Yamaha 20 4-stroke was leaking gas and needed servicing. Replaced it with this and it fired right up. The only tweak needed was the idle speed screw. At this price point it doesn’t seem worth it to take the original apart and chase problems. I had never replaced the carb before so this took me about an hour. I could do it again in half the time. All that is needed is a Phillips head screwdriver and 10mm socket with extension and universal joint.

I installed this on my Yamaha 25hp 65w motor and could not ever get it working correctly. I tuned it and took it out on the water but this product simply will not allow my motor to produce its full 25hp. It felt more like 20. Then after a while it will lose its tune because the idle control screw won’t stay put. It works its way out after a while and floods the engine. That’s not such a fun thing to have happen when you’re out on the ocean. I am not pleased.

Incroyable ! Ce produit a littéralement sauvé mon week-end de pêche. Fonctionne sur mon Mercury 25hp 2004 Bigfoot. L’entrée d’air est un peu plus petite que l’originale et j’ai dû faire un petit ajustement au niveau du bras, mais aucun impact sur le fonctionnement jusqu’à maintenant.

Bought this for my Yamaha 25hp 4 stroke. Fit right on. Started good ,but after testing it. The engine started slowing down and stalled a few times. Fuel was leaking out the carb. Float not working properly I suspected. Contacted seller to no luck. Sorry no warranty. What the hey? Still not resolved.
