It is most often used as a face cleanser that isn't drying. It has a superb pH level at 6.2 - your skin's natural pH is about 5.5. The cleanser smells like tea tree (Melaleuca) which is an essential oil that comes from steaming the leaves of the Australian tea tree. I hope they are reading these negative reviews.** A: We didn't change the formulation. This is a wash and it is highly effective and it was designed with less viscosity . This is not the liquid castile soap which is thicker. The Liquid Castile Soap happens to be out of stock at this very moment and folks are purchasing the wash expecting it to be the Castile Soap.
