Don't bite my head off!
I'm really happy with these. From my memories of getting them in wax paper bags in London, these don't quite look the same, but the texture and flavor are exactly what I was hoping for. And for the price and convenience, you can't beat them! I'm not sure what other folks have experienced - it's hard finding good/authentic/fresh jelly babies in the US. I can safely recommend these, though - The flavors are great, they're firm and chewy, but not rubbery like gummi bears. The texture gives you that granular sugar texture. They're not translucent and don't come coated with sugar/cornstarch like the packaging might indicate - these came in a clear plastic bag bulk packaged. And the colors are pastel like some folks have shared images. But I'm still really happy - now excuse me, I need to step into my TARDIS and time travel back a few years and tell myself to buy some!! :-D

Recipe changed?
These used to be absolutely fantastic and now they're just OK. The recipe seems to have changed. There used to be almost like a powdery coating on them but now thats gone and they are just kind of bland.

Not as pictured at all!!!
These are NOT the delectable soft powder-coated jelly babies that I was looking for as had expected based on the photos. These are pastel and milky in color and much firmer and have a granular texture as well. Disappointed.

Just like I used to get in Houston
My oldest son and I used to watch Dr Who on PBS in Houston back in the 80's. We started watching when Tom Baker was the Doctor. He was always offering people Jelly Babies. We checked around at several candy stores and found Confection Connection. They had Jelly Babies. So we used to get them there and eat them while watching Dr Who. When we moved to Round Rock in 1992 there were NO stores that carried Jelly Babies. And Confection Connection was no more in Houston. Finally I found a British friend who sent me some Bassett's Jelly Babies from England. These were probably the ones that Tom Baker offered but they were not the same ones we were used to.I finally found these on Amazon and thought I would give them a try. My son and I agreed they were very close to the ones we had in Houston. So I gave him one of the three bags. My younger son and his wife were getting into Dr Who so I gave them one of the bags. The third bag I kept for myself so that I can have some Jelly Babies as I watch Dr Who.

Let Me Know When You Bring Back the Real Thing...
I've been a fan of Gutaf's Jelly Babies since receiving some as a Christmas gift several years ago. Ordered these because they looked like the same thing and the sale price made them a very good value. The jelly babies that I came to love were translucent and powdered with corn starch. The candies that were sent this time are opaque with no coating. The flavor is OK, but not as good as what the Jelly Babies of Christmas past. Not sure why the change was made, but unless they go back to the old formula, this will be my last Jelly Baby purchase.

Delicious!
I got this for my husband because he loves Doctor Who and had been looking for this candy. I figured this would be all for him because, honestly, the photo doesn't really do anything for me. The photo is actually quite off-putting to me. They look like Sour Patch Kids to me. Even when they arrived, and I actually saw them, I thought, yep, looks just like the online photo! My husband had one and insisted I had to try it. He knows my tastes, so I figured I might actually like them despite the look of them. And, oh my goodness, these are now our favorite candy! They are very soft, and actually not too sugary despite what they look like. My least favorite turned out to be the grape. Seems to have a bit of a weird aftertaste; to me anyway. I love these so much that I bought a candy jar for my office especially for these, and my husband went out and bought a Tardis cookie jar to keep his in. Highly recommended for those that like to indulge in the sweet stuff! :)

Perfect!
I always thought Jelly Babies were the same as gummy bears. NOT! After discovering Dr. Who and watching every classic episode that I could find I always looked for them. After a few years I happened upon them at a Ross in the clearance, clearance section and grabbed them. We decided we liked so started the search. After five year years, I finally found these on Amazon. I'd found them in tiny bags at a boutique candy store and paid $6 for 2oz, so I knew this was great price.I got my bags today and wow..they are awesome and fresh. Just one bag will probably last for a year. They have unusual taste-- more juice like so make sure you like before you buy 7.5lbs of them.UPDATE: I at all 3 bags in a month... be careful WHO you order from. I ordered from another vendor who actually CHANGED the item description AFTER I ordered and I only received ONE bag instead of the 3 previously stated.Just make sure you purchase them ONLY from AMAZON and not from one of their secondary vendor. The value is incredible.
