This size 34 belt fits my 33 waist well (I followed the size recommendations but also measured to compare with an old belt I liked) but I prefer belts a little tight rather than too loose. The leather is flexible but a little thick and stiff now--it seems likely to last and is nice-looking--I prefer that to floppy, thinner leather. The buckle is attached with heavy stitching. I see some reviews of other belts with buckles attached with rivets that came apart very soon, so the heavy stitching may be a better design (easy to repair if there's ever a problem).
