Don't want to travel without it.
I'm not a big fan of "wrap around your neck" style travel pillows so I decided to try the Rikki Tikki backpacking pillow. I was glad I did, I love the product. First, it is very comfortable. There is a thin layer of foam inside that makes it feel like a real pillow instead of a beach toy. I don't backpack or go camping but I spend a lot of time on planes and this pillow makes sleeping on the plane much better. You can lay the whole side of your head against it. Second, it collapses VERY small and stores in a bag that is sewn to the pillow so you always know where it is. I carry it on to the plane in the pocket of my sports coat, it's that small. Third, it is extremely easy to inflate and deflate. Instead of the normal inflation nipple it has an opening about the size of a quarter with a diaphragm. I can easily inflate it with about three breaths and then let a little air out to get just the right amount of cushion. The seal is tight and flat, you never feel it when using the pillow. Deflating and storing the pillow is very easy. You hold your finger on the diaphragm and start folding the pillow, you can get ALL of the air out of it this way and it fits right back into the bag.

Perfect for airline travel
After a few hours, I find that airline seats are about as comfortable to sit on as a concrete bench. A cushion is the obvious answer, but I hate the idea of conspicuously carrying a pillow through airports. This pillow seems like a good solution. It packs very small, inflates (and deflates) quickly and is comfortable to sit on. While time will tell, an initial examination makes me thin that this cushion will be reasonably rugged. The attached storage bag is also a convenience. I highly recommend it.

Inflatable pillow for travel.
Purchased for plane travel. Well made, easy to inflate to your desired comfort, a little hard to deflate pulling the air plug, pretty comfortable fabric. Folds away for easy packing in your carry-ons.

LOVE IT - Worth the extra $!
I previously bought a cheaper pillow, but it did not last the year (deflated after the 3rd or 4th flight). However, I have no flown a few times with this one, and even used it as a head pillow for a few nights, and can tell this is much better quality. At first, I thought it was missing a piece as the piece where you blow is different than usual. Once I understood i needed to blow directly with my lips pressed against the orifice, I realized it is much quicker to inflate with this design, and holds air just fine! It did not deflate with the changes of pressure from the plane, yet is easy to deflate & store back in its bag, and I like that it can be easily cleaned. It is a good size too. I mostly use it in a plane or on long train/car rides for my lower back (inflate it very lightly to get the best support without it being bulky): by inflating it just to about 1/4-1/3 of its size, the air naturally finds its place by filling gaps between your back & the seat, and provides relieving support for back strains & pains. Thank you Rikki Tikki!

copypasta batch review
I try to sleep on my back but often end up on my side and stomach (so I'm a "mover"). So far I've found ALL inflatables annoying in one way or another, mostly because they are too rigid when fully inflated (so if it's the exact height you want, it's probably ok), and too floppy when less-than-fully-inflated. the plastic bladder makes noise like a sleeping pad, but if you wear earplugs or don't move, it's probably fine. The ones that advertise having a soft surface usually just have a VERY thin layer of gel or foam; not enough to do anything. I have yet to try the Nemo Fillo-- that one might have enough fill. Get some pillows and return them if you don't like them. I do recommend at least trying a shredded memory foam pillow (Thermarest or knockoff). I have the Kohbi Sport Compressible Camping and Travel Pillow, and it is the most comfortable pillow I have found. I pack light, so it pains be to carry 11oz of pillow, but it's worth it for me. I also tried a smaller Thermarest at 8-9oz, and it just wasn't enough. I also recommend picking up the Klymit X-pillow or Pillow-X, whatever they call it. It's very good for a lightweight cradle for your noggin. I'm considering cutting open the Thermarest and installing an inflatable bladder, or just sewing a small pillow case that I can densely fill with memory foam. If you go the memory foam route, note that it takes days to fully expand initially. And if you roll it up to pack it, it might not fully expand by the time you want to sleep. I recommend trying to keep it unrolled in your pack (might not be do-able on day 1-2, but once you've eaten some of your food you should have room. Or just strap it on top of the pack and use it on breaks. here's what I've tried: Thermarest shredded memory foam travel pillow (small) Kohbi Sport Compressible Camping and Travel Pillow Leisure Co Ultra-Portable & Ultralight Camping Pillow Klymit Pillow X Inflatable Camping & Travel Pillow Rest-A-Camp Inflatable Camping Travel Pillow Ultralight RikkiTikki Inflatable Camping Pillow Klymit Luxe Pillow Wildhorn Sage Ultralight Inflatable Camping Pillow

Lightweight and easy
Super lightweight and thin material so it packs up small and is great for airplane travel and backpacking. Small but big enough for your head and also comfortable. Great for knees or arms pillow (used it after knee surgery for sleeping on my side). Clever valve that makes it easy to inflate and deflate. Cover that removes easily for washing. Like most inflatable things, the plastic material is noisy with movement. Buying a second one.

Best Item for Long Haul Flight
This travel pillow far surpasses all the others I've bought, used, and had to throw away when they failed in terms of durability or comfort. The inner inflatable part is made of very strong plastic, with heavy-duty seams and a sturdy inflating gasket. It's easy to inflate and the gasket is flat, so you don't have those little inflating protuberances poking out like on other travel pillows. The inner pillow is surrounded by a separate fabric wrap with a velcro closure - so you actually CAN throw the outer wrap in the wash and always have a nice clean pillow for travel. The pillow is large - the perfect size to be used as a lumbar pillow across the full width of the lower back, as well as the perfect size lengthwise to wedge into the oval airplane window surround and arch across your shoulder to your neck. I sleep as if I'm on my pillow at home thanks to this pillow. I'm buying more of them as gifts to family and friends.

Very small and light perfect for backpacking
I purchased this for a camping trip. The only thing I was missing last time I went was a pillow. I bought this one because it's small and light. It's a good pillow but I can't say it's the most supportive. The shape is OK but it could be better, however it's small and light and good enough to handle a few nights out in a tent backpacking. Other than that though it's perfect. I would recommend it as it is pretty cheap and light. To be fair this is the first inflatable pillow I have used. If they were very supportive then people would use them everyday. It's still very small and light and perfect for backpacking.

Difficile à ouvrir, mais grandeur parfaite
Très pratique, ne prend pas beaucoup de place. Facile à gonfler et ranger. Par contre, lorsqu'on ferme le bouchon, il est difficile à rouvrir.
