Used daily and I'd still recommend
Bottom line information: I've had this for 6 weeks, used daily, I had one problem with the gasket in-between the vessels that turned out to be a me problem, not a malfunction of the pot. I recommend this to anyone who is willing to keep their pot clean and not in a lazy mad rush to make coffee in the morning. If you would like to hear details: I purchased the 3 cup Moka Pot about six weeks ago and have used it nearly every day, sometimes two times a day. Finding the right amount a heat took some trial and error the first couple of days but once I found it I've been happy ever since. I have a gas stove with a small burner. Ideally you want to have a burner that does not have a wider circumference than the bottom of your pot. If you are in a mad rush every morning to make a pot of coffee or spoiled to the automatic brew of your conventional coffee maker this either may not be the process for you or make take some adjustment time. This is a process, I am often in a hurry on the mornings that I work so I grind coffee beans the night before. I do like to boil water in kettle first to get the water hot prior to putting in the bottom vessel as to not burn the coffee and it is done faster anyway. I not have a routine and know that my coffee is going to take about 10 min to brew once I get it on the stove but that is due to the amount of heat that I use. So I multi-task and it works fine but it is recommended that once it goes on the stove you stay close by to watch it, don't leave it completely unattended! This moka pot is a little small if I want more than one cup of coffee, so I've gotten in the habit of making an iced latte in the morning instead of a hot cup of coffee because it is summer in Texas and its too hot even in the mornings. However, I do plan on getting a bigger moka pot soon. I like strong coffee full of flavor and this moka pot does not disappoint! I've found that I am now spoiled to the flavor that this pot brings out. I've completely done away with my conventional maker which freed up a ton of space on my counter. I did a lot of research before purchasing this pot, I am very happy with my choice and plan on buying the same brand of the bigger pot. I also bought a manual coffee bean burr grinder that I love so I can control the size of my grind. For this pot I use a course grind that works great, something really fine would probably fall through the filter. Clean up is not a big deal to me. Once done I immediately unscrew the pieces and rinse out the top vessel, otherwise the sediment dries in there and makes it harder to clean. I also rinse the underside of the top vessel to clean off the remaining coffee grounds and ensure that there are no grounds under the gasket. It is possible to get the gasket out and clean it all thoroughly but I do not do that every time as I don't want to wear the gasket out or damage it by removing it often. I was lazy one morning and heard/felt a little crunch when I screwed the two pieces together and decided to make the coffee anyway and discovered that there was a coffee ground under the gasket which caused it to leak when it pressured up on the stove. That is the only time it's leaked, I just ensure that I cleaned it properly. By the time I drink my coffee it is cool enough to clean the bottom. Do not use soap! I dump the grounds out and rinse the filter under water, followed by rinsing the bottom vessel. I wipe all pieces down with a power towel as there will be a little coffee residue. I really do not have any complaints about this pot, it does take a little time and patience to get used to but now it is just my morning routine that is actually almost a therapeutic process. I love the flavor that I get. The coffee to me does not seem as hot as I would get out of a conventional pot so I just heat up my milk and creamer when I want it really hot, and use a frother to get it a little more creamy. So when I make it hot the frother helps in making more of a cappuccino depending on the amount of time I use the frother and how much air is added. I love iced lattes with this as the flavor goes a long way! I hope this helps someone out there.

Exactly what I hoped for
I had purchased a 6 cup moka pot a few years ago while I was single and when I began a serious relationship I got my partner hooked on moka pot espresso. We are now married and i figured it was time to upgrade to a 12 cup moka pot so I wouldn't need to brew 2 pots for us to enjoy a cup of joe together when we choose to partake in a rich, flavorful, strong cup any day we choose. Its exactly what I was looking for and works just as it should and we also look forward to having this with us while camping as well. I honestly could've gotten a 9 cup moka pot and been happy with the outcome but I do not regret going for the 12 cup. PLEASE UNDERSTAND THIS IS A 12 ESPRESSO CUP MOKA POT (12 SHOT ESPRESSO), NOT A STANDARD CUP BREWER. We like the flavor of the 6 shots each in our home brew and this makes even Folgers taste better than a drip maker does BUT I highly recommend you find a moka ground coffee that you like or great a grinder and make your own from your favorite beans. We love Illy classico but have recently tried Cafe La Llava espresso and truly enjoy the flavor also. This is an amazing way to brew coffee and it's just the right amount of pretentiousness for us to feel upper crust. I only gave it 4 stars due to the obvious smell of machining oil which required washing it 3 times plus 2 dry runs of brewing water to remove the oil before I was able to use it. For the price and size it was well worth the effort. I will NEVER go back to a common campfire percolator coffee pot for camping nor will I use a "pour over" setup which is just a more in depth drip coffee method and more or less just putting lipstick on a pig and calling it a lady. I like my drip Brewer BUT I love my moka pot

This is the PERFECT ONE! You don't need to search anymore!
I've bought and returned 5 so claimed Espresso Coffee Pots, but THIS ONE is the only one that is the "REAL" thing. I was born and raised wilth my Cuban family and know what a real and good Moka Espresso Pot should be and look like. This is the ONE! The Zulay Moka Pot Espresso maker pours perfectly into your mug without any spills. It doesn't leak like the others do while perculating. The base of it doesn't turn black when put to the heat as the others do because they are poorly made. The Zulay is made with GREAT quality and solid. You can tell even by the weight, but also the care that they took into making it. They give you a lifetime guarantee and their own phone number with the hours of work if you need anything. WOW! What a difference when you actually get the right one and made with such great care and good quality. I'm so glad that I didn't give up. I almost did, as all the others are like tin. The handle is sturdy and away from the pot so you don't get burn or it gets hot. It's GREAT! I love it, and every time I make espresso coffee it's easy, no mess, and tastes AMAZING! Thank you Zulay family for making such great quality Espresso Maker. You don't get such service and qualilty now a days, but this company deserves the praise. This is AUTHENTIC and not made cheaply. It comes in a very professional box with great instructions, although I don't need them, being raise in a Cuban home I know how, but it's wonderful for those who don't. I will put the pictures to show you how it arrived and the care that this company took into making it. It also was extremely FAST shipping, and I don't have Prime. Thank you for your work, and may God bless you, your family and your wonderful company.

Best coffee maker - easy to use coffee maker and great customer service if there is an issue
I bought this coffee/espresso maker not knowing if I would like the coffee made from it. I love it. I mainly wanted to be able to get the pick-me-up in the morning without drinking a ton of coffee to do so. This is great, makes a delicious cup of coffee - or espresso - in a few minutes. That's the other thing I love about it. It's so easy to use. I will sometimes set it up at night - put the water in the pot, add the coffee in the filter area, screw on the top, and leave on the stove. In the morning, while I am still tired, all I do is turn in the stove on to have good coffee in a few minutes. It's always ready after I have gone through my morning routine in the morning to start my day. This 5 cup is perfect for me. Some may like a smaller or larger. I like this because it tastes strong while being easy to drink. And cleaning is not hard, dump the filter in the trash and then rinse it out. Ready for the next one. I do want to experiment with different ground thickness. Just been using the regular bag of coffee from the grocery store or Seattles Best here on Amazon. That does alright. Do take the advice from the box. Don't get the water too hot because the coffee will taste burned if you do. Medium and slow is good. I mean really, I had no idea how this thing worked (I couldn't help watching the coffee gurgle up to the top). I have seen them for years and thought it would just be fun to try. Turns out I like it better than French Roast - much easier to clean than the French Roast.

Great while it lasted ~6 months but not worth.
This worked perfectly for 6 months but has been aesthetically breaking down maybe 4months after daily use i.e paint chipping away when washing and itโs permanently discolored as well (Iโve looked up and tried various cleaning methods suggested from reddit). The latest issue is this rubber band which is falling apart and impacting the pressure and quality of the coffee - coffee now moves past this rubber band and coffee spits out from the sides so this isnโt functioning well anymore. I came onto my Amazon acct to see if I could find extra parts under suggested but I canโt so Iโll need to go to home depot or something and spend more money on this. Anyway, I was shocked to see the date of this purchase. I havenโt even had this a full year and just barely passed half a year with it and itโs made it clear that this wasnโt a great purchase. The longevity is really disappointing- I would advise against purchasing this - save your money for something that will actually last, otherwise youโre just throwing money away on repairs in less than a year. Maybe I got a defective one or maybe getting this in white was asking for trouble - who knows. I have another (different brand) but much smaller (and not painted, just original material) for YEARS and itโs not fallen apart one bit but it doesnโt make enough coffee for the home so I rarely use it anymore but it was used daily for years and multiple times a day. To me, this proves this design can last longer than 6months.

Quality lacking
We bought this a few weeks back and the first thing we noticed was the lack or instructions papers or any type of documentation. After a few uses ( no more than 5 uses) the handle broke off, which really disappointed me as i knew it was cheap but did not expect it to face issues that quickly. But having said that it was an intereting and fun experience making coffee using a claasic espresso maker.
