Thought I might kill two birds with one stone because I have had infrequent but severe episodes of cold sores so big and deep that they took a permanent chunk out of my lip, even though I took acyclovir as directed at the first sign. Since I began taking this supplement, I have not gotten COVID, nor have I had any cold sores - but then, we masked up, sanitized, distanced and got vaccinated as soon as we could, so that might explain the lack of COVID; and I had really only had three episodes of cold sores over a period of about 10 years, so maybe it's just not "time" yet. I will not tempt fate by stopping it, just to see if I come down with either one. However, my husband is on his way back from a two-week family funeral gathering out of state, where a few people woke with sore throats and tested positive for COVID - one of them previously vaccinated.
