Really good flavor!
Yum!!! This is my fav ponzu. Tastes great. Sweet and savory. The best on grilled veggies.

Best store bought ponzu sauce that I've had
My first time eating shabu shabu was at Shabu Shabu House with lines up to two hours long. I was instantly hooked. I've had shabu shabu at countless other restaurants since and none have been as good. Two important ingredients for good shabu shabu are the ponzu sauce and thinly sliced beef. And even the thinly sliced beef can't be too thick or thin otherwise it won't be as good. Well, when I finally found a place that sold perfectly sliced beef for shabu shabu, I had trouble finding the right ponzu sauce until I came across this one by pure luck. I have to say that this ponzu sauce is comparable to what I had at Shabu Shabu House. This is now a staple in my refrigerator. I can now have shabu shabu whenever I want, which is about twice week. Thank you Marukan for this great ponzu sauce!

Love this!
This is my favorite unexpected sauce. I had it a few years ago in a restaurant, and it was the same. I wish I could find it in my local grocer, but it is not there. It adds perfect authenticity to my hot pot, which I eat quite regularly as a soup so I will be keeping this as a staple.

Tasty low salt sour condiment.
We use this in instant noodle cups, udon and ramen bowls, and stir fry. It went pretty fast because we put it in a lot of dishes to balance sweet, salty and hot flavors. Great alternative to soy sauce alone. But can also be paired with soy sauce in some dishes.

Leaked inside package badly, tastes ok
Clearly the seller isn’t shipping this thing properly. I get it, it’s a cheap item. But this thing looks like it leaked and has been festering and its own juices inside a tightly rolled bubble wrap for days if not weeks 🤢 Amazon gave me a full refund without sending it back since food isn’t returnable. I mustard the courage - or idiocy, to dab my finger on the top just to try getting a taste of the stuff since I’m super curious. (I absolutely love well-made ponzu sauce in Japanese restaurants and use it instead of soy sauce for all sushi so having it on hand is great). AND this thing is made with tamari soy sauce which is gluten free! Other ingredients may not be but since that’s a big ingredient, it’s at least lower in gluten then any other Ponzi sauce. It taste pretty good. It’s a little dark and heavy but it definitely is a nice tasting sauce for Japanese cooking or dipping. I would lighten it up a bit with water or Yuzu juice maybe. Of course this horrifying bottle is going in the trash, I’ll look for it maybe at a Japanese grocery store.
