IR 20v W9691 is built like a tank. It has no serious competition.
I’ve been a professional heavy truck technician for 42 yrs. I’ve owned and used my own IR 1” pneumatic impact for 10 years now. I decided to lose the air line tether and go cordless. This thing is a BEAST. It has surprised me every time I use it. It doesn’t even break a sweat removing stubborn 33mm HD rusted lug nuts. The shop where I work own the 1” drive Milwaukee 18volt impact and it worked great for about 6 months. Now it chatters and has no torque. It couldn’t handle the daily use in a commercial repair shop. This IR 1” dual 20 volt battery powered impact is built like a tank. I love it. Power to spare and rusty 33mm lug nuts back off like they weren’t even tight. It’s much quieter than the Milwaukee 1” impact. You can easily tell the difference in quality & design when you’ve used both. IR W9691 is a serious commercial quality tool. If you want it to last and work as advertised, buy the IR W9691. Leave the Milwaukee 18volt for the occasional user. Trust me on this one.
