A Beautiful Body Project: The Bodies of Mothers First in a series of books with a strong media platform of truthful photographs and stories to celebrate the irreplaceable beauty of women and the body positive movement happening all over the world. A Beautiful Body Project is an upcoming series of book volumes and an online media platform dedicated to women and body image, celebrated through the sharing stories about motherhood, aging, cancer, stillbirths, miscarriages, weigh-gain, weight-loss, dysmorphia, and beyond. Founder Jade Beall has been a photographer, a massage therapist, and an inspiring dance teacher for women for over a decade. Her work is touching thousands of lives around the world. This book, along with all subsequent volumes, will feature my signature non-digitally-augmented & no-air-brushing images of women, just as they are. This is the heart of the project, to reshape images of women in mass media, to celebrate us as us, nothing more, nothing less. The Beautiful Body Pledge - which in turn sums up the purpose of the book series - is as follows: I want to join the movement and agree to love my body more and more each day, to use kind words towards myself and towards other women, to be a role-model for future generations of mothers, and to choose to be empowered knowing that I am not alone, and that by coming together, we can reshape body image in mass-media, build self-esteem, and explore vulnerability as a collective. Jade Beall is a world-renowned Photographer specializing in truthful images of women to inspire feeling irreplaceably beautiful as a counter-balance to the airbrushed photo-shopped imagery that dominates mainstream media. Her recent work A Beautiful Body Project has touched 100,000's of women's lives and garnered global attention from media outlets including the BBC, The Huffington Post & beyond. Jade's book series and media platform feature untouched photos of women alongside their stories of their journeys to build self-esteem in a world that thrives off women feeling insecure. Jade's dream is to inspire future generations of women to be free from the unnecessary self-suffering and embrace their beauty just as they are. Review: Beautiful! - Sometimes not pretty, but beautiful. Bearing a child is so demanding that, until modern medicine (and still in some places), it was a leading cause of death among women. If some of that physical demand shows in her body after living through it, that's OK. Her body, most visibly her skin, carries the record of that experience. These photos, usually semi-nude, honor mothers and the physical records of motherhood. Some appear as mothers-to-be, some with adult children, and some with their new infants - nursing, and with some of the messy bits that a romanticized vision would have skipped over. More than the images, though, each one in this collection wrote a few words about herself. Some chose poetic forms. More often, they wrote some autobiographical blurb about the experience and the feelings in brought out. I honestly can't think of a wider range of emotions captured between two covers: self-doubt, pride, pragmatic issues, the spiritual and generational connection, and lots more. I can't say how mothers themselves will think about this collection. I, as an outsider, learned a lot about the different experiences of motherhood - and about the different bodies shaped by that experience. -- wiredweird Review: A Very Beautiful Book - Truly a must had book for any book collector , this was very eye opening and truly Beautiful, Phenomenal stories of all types of Mother's blessed with the most greatest gift of all giving birth to a child, and the becoming of Beautiful within your and Body, loving it forever. There are short stories of both young and old Mothers. Too me this is a Coffee table Book in my home, because I feel that everyone should at least open it, once its open most likely it will be read. A very Beautiful Book

Stunning
I gave this book to myself as a postpartum gift. The stories and the images are so raw and so real. This book reminds you of the rollercoaster motherhood is, and works great as a coffee table book. I am so glad I purchased it. It would be an amazing gift for a new mom, a friend, your mother, or simply for yourself. Beautiful photographs as well.

Lovely Images
A lovely and heart-felt look at the beauty of real women. The images are inspiring and affirm that we should all love and embrace our "flaws." They are what tell our story and make us unique. Lovely production value. An asset to any modern coffee table.

Not as artsy as I had thought.
I thought it was ok, I wish they would of made the pictures more artistic showing that women with any body can make a beautiful photograph since it is a picture book. Instead it's just naked women most with saggy skin and stretch marks taking a picture of them standing around naked for the reason of only showing that they are ok being naked despite their bodies but it left me feeling discouraged and disappointed. As a mother of 7 kids all born via c-section I could relate with their bodies but I wanted prettier pics so I would feel better about my bodies. Maybe doing a this is the body shot with a shot that is beautiful yet not photo shopped would of been more inspiring. I get that they feel beautiful I suppose but really it just looks like naked people with bodies that are not that pretty to look at (a few were but most weren't). The awkward mom with the teen sons though I could of done without.

Perfect Mothers Day Gift
I Bought this amazing book for my daughter for Mother's Day. I love that it has real women, with real stories and it is heart touching and just real. Check it out if you are looking to teach your children about how amazing a Mother's body really is and that we all look different but are completely beautiful. #BeHappyNow #Celebratewomen #CelebrateMoms

Wonderful Pictorial of a the depth of Mother's Love!
Great Book! And even though I don't have little babies anymore, I can still relate and think back to all the breastfeeding years. What a wonderful pictorial of Motherhood. It takes all you got and then some but I am convinced you are doing the most important JOB in the world!!

A real, moving book with real women.
A great shower gift for an artsy mom-to-be. The images and writing are beautiful. The perfect counter to all of the "GET YOUR PRE BABY BODY BACK!!" madness.

Nobody is perfect
So sehen Mütter eben aus. Nicht makellos und glatt. Aber sobald sie es akzeptieren und sich annehmen, verdammt sexy und vor allem glücklich. Mutter sein ist toll.
