This is a very nice little IR controlled 3 input HDMI switch. I’ve verified that it does indeed pass through HD streaming video successfully. It is apparently made in China, and the instructions are written in awkward English. However, setup is simple enough, and you will have no trouble. This device is not contained in the Harmony Remote equipment database, but it is easy to teach the IR commands for HDMI switching to your Harmony system. It is so nice that all connectors (power, HDMI input and output) are on the back of the small box. This means that the switch can sit nicely on an equipment shelf without cables coming out in all directions. My only complaint is that the colored LCD indicators on the front showing power and output channel selection are too bright and distracting for a dark home theater. Covering them with a strip of electrical tape is my solution.

Overall, this seems like it is a good unit. It does switch between HDMI signals easily, and I like that it is metal and not plastic.I do have a little concern as it rattles as if an internal screw came loose - I am hoping that this isn't goign to cause a problem down the line!If it lasts, then the price was right for the good quality!

My smart tv only has two HDMI ports which is why I gave this item a try. After a few weeks this HDMI Switch has worked perfectly and does just exactly what it needs to do. I was able to add all my consoles to one tv. The price is very reasonable and product has great value. I highly recommend this item for anyone that needs to add more HDMI ports to their tv or other electronic device. Btw it comes with a control that helps you toggle through each one with out leaving your seat!!!

I initially found an HDMI switch elsewhere, but returned it due to defective behavior. I now acknowledge the blessing that the inconvenience was, as I found, inarguably, the best HDMI switch on the market! The switch sports a minimal, classy black-painted aluminum housing with silver-painted buttons, five LEDs, and an IR sensor. It feels very quality. Automatic source switching when detecting a new input is a plus! I suggest EVERYBODY seeking an HDMI switch look no longer and exchange a mere $30 for the best HDMI switch that they'll ever own.

I wasn’t aware of HDCP but apparently it’s a form of signal protection that this device doesn’t work well with. I first noticed this with my Comcast box where a direct HDMI connection worked great but through this box it failed. I tried various other devices and cables and some worked while others didn’t, each complaining about HDCP. All of my HDMI cables were fine when tested alone. Ultimately the seller seems to think this device is more capable than it actually is and you should be aware that many devices might have a problem with this box. I originally purchased because it does work with a Harmony hub (manual mapping required) but it just doesn’t work with my devices. Needless to say, I must return as the seller is unaware or misrepresented the specs of this device.

So far, about 4 weeks, going good. Long term unknown. I will update in a year

Can’t do 4K @ 60hz as advertised in title. Kept flickering. Returned got refund. Yes I had 4K cables. When Xbox one s was hooked up directly to tv no problems. Bad review is for wasting my time with false advertisement. Other than the 4K @60hz unit worked fine.

I still have a older plasma tv and it only has two hdmi ports, so finally I decided to buy one of these. It seems to work fine and at $6.99 I couldn't resist. I bought another one, but the Amazon delivery guy delivered it to the wrong house. I was going to keep whichever one worked best, I think I got the right one.
