Why did you pick this product vs others?: This ubiquinol is the best according to my cardiologist. Anyone over 50 should be taking this supplement for a healthy heart. For best absorption, I recommend chewing it, then just toss the capsule. Your heart will thank you. My heart sure did!!!

I buy this band of ubiquinol on a regular basis. My husband and I both take 200 mg. a day, so the large bottle is cost effective for us.

These pills are huge! Can't swallow them and every pill cutter breaks because the gel capsule is as thick as leather. The paste on the inside tastes fine. The listing needs to make it clear these are way too long and thick to swallow if you have dysphagia issues like me. Seems like a good product, but I would recommend a different soy free brand in a smaller pill or in liquid form.

My order arrived 48 hours after I placed it. The price was the best I could find anywhere. This brand comes in 200 mg strength, made from healthier sources than many I've found, and contains no GMO's. This is important to me, because I buy this for my husband, who has Parkinson's disease. UBIQUINOL is the only supplement proven effective for people with Parkinson's. This has been confirmed by two Neurologists with whom we work. However, the dosage for people with Parkinson's is 1200 mg per day, a difficult amount to ingest unless you get the maximum strength capsules, and much more expensive if you buy capsules in smaller doses as well. I'm extremely pleased with this purchase and would recommend the brand, the seller, and the product.

I have been using Heathy Origins Ubiquinol 200mg for about 10 years following a double heart bypass. My surgeon recommended that I take CoQ10 daily, and as a trained Scientist/Engineer I realized that the commonest form of CoQ10 is Ubuquinone (for the chemists among you, this is a ketone from the same family as acetone). Ketones are not absorbed by human metabolism and the body needs to re-work this compound to convert it to an member of the alcohol family (thus, Ubiquinol, same family as the more familiar Ethanol), and thus readily absorbable and usable by humans. Healthy Origins Ubiquinol removes this re-working step (which is about 70% efficient from memory) by providing the alcohol version of CoQ10 which is over 95% absorbable.
