Kenmore 20362 Triple Action Agitator
This Kenmore washing machine was delivered yesterday within 2 days of having placed the order. It arrived with no damage and was placed where I wanted it to be placed. Be aware that the delivery people did not unbox it, my guess is that for whatever reason they are not allowed to. Nevertheless, I was able to unbox it and set it up by myself. After I set it up, I immediately washed 2 loads. One of the loads were some white shop towels that were badly stained and dirty. I selected the "Whtes" setting, put some bleach in the dispenser and ran the machine and to my pleasant surprise the towels came out incredibly clean and smelling fresh. The next load consisted of some heavy fabrics, sweat socks and sweatpants and so I used the "Heavy Duty" setting. That load came out very clean and fresh smelling as well. Take note that as this is machine is "HE" (high efficiency) regular laundry detergent cannot be used in this machine, the detergent that needs to be used should specifically be "HE" laundry detergent. There are several reasons for this...regular laundry detergent will create more suds and confuse the water sensor and the machine will not rinse the detergent properly, which over time could cause issues with the internal operating mechanisms and sensors of the machine. Additionally, because "HE" detergent is specifically formulated for high efficiency machines, you will actually use less detergent in your laundry. There are several features that make this machine a good choice. One specific feature is the "Auto" water level sensor. This feature detects the amount of clothing placed in the wash basket and will automatically fill the machine with the proper amount of water for the specific wash load. The other feature is the 12 wash settings that are designed to wash in accordance with the specific type of items being put in to wash. This machine also has a triple action agitator so it washes laundry items using a combination of spray jets, wash basket motion and an agitator. I have to say that the 3.8 cubic foot wash basket compartment is huge. There is one thing that could be improved upon...the hose that extracts the water from the machine to the slop sink feels and looks flimsy and is not as long as I would have preferred. Thankfully I have the hose from my previous machine and I was able to use that. In conclusion, so far so good and I recommend this washer to anyone looking for a quality machine that has good useful features.

It lasted 1.5 years, what a POS.. NEVER BUY KENMORE appliances
I had a feeling this washer would not last when it showed up. It's built with cheap parts, feels cheap and overall built like a fisher price toy. This unit lasted 1.5 years, DO NOT BUY. Now I get to go through the hassle of trying to figure out if there is any warranty remaining. The main board has gone bad, it thinks it has water in it and the pump constantly runs. The fix? A $200 control board. This is called planned obsolescence! I knew it was a thing, but to only last 1.5 years is absurd. I WILL NEVER BUY ANOTHER KENMORE appliance again. Going to buy an American made washer. Should have listened to my gut, buy once, cry once. Now I'm buying twice and crying twice. Guess how long my last washer lasted? 35 years Guess there is a reason this unit is no longer for sale... they knew it's a POS. Never again KENMORE, I will tell everyone I know about your terrible product. Congrats on losing another customer.

Scary noises
Thankfully, before I hooked it up and ran it. I read the instructions and watched a YouTube video on the brand. Both made it clear that due to the architecture of the machine it would sound different than other washers. They were right! Had I not done complete research before firing it up, I would have panicked because some of the sounds were horrendous , reminiscent of a transmission grinding to a halt, or the sound of sawing wood with a hand saw! I only noticed it during the beginning of the maiden run because it was peculiar. I found that due to the design, the agitator makes slow, small incremental moves both ways as it adds water at different times during a cycle depending upon what it senses, as far as water level and balance. After the initial shock ,now that we know what to expect , its hardly noticeable. The full operating sound level is very low. We are in love with it. I was concerned because it was six inches taller than our old 1990s washer and I was concerned about my wife having difficulty reaching over the edge and into the bottom of the basket. She reports no problem and the lid clears the shelf above the washer. Happily she reports almost no difference but was very happy because she reports that for our two person household she usually did 6-8 loads of laundry a week r but today the same amount only too three loads. we initially did a load of bath towels about twelve plus hand towels and there was no problem. It starts rather slow and the green sensing light stays on until it decides there is no imbalance. Initially it seemed like a long time because you don't hear water gushing in right away. YouTube has a video about calibrating these models by turning the dial a few clicks. The instructions do not mention this but it appears to have no relevance so far. She loves the fabric softener dispenser that is in the top of the agitator and a small bleach dispenser in the front left corner. It certainly does a good job of spinning out water. Things dry much quicker in our old 1990s electric dryer. It was packed very well almost too well. It would help to have two people to unpack it as the instructions show it set on its side to remove the cardboard pedestal. I didn't do that and it was a bit of a struggle to get it out but did.

Kenmore sucks.
Sucks as it's control boards that break in under 18 mos. They want $700 to replace the board. Boards in the early 2010s were known for the same issue. Replacement should be free due to designed to fail.

Dissatisfied
Stopped working after 2 years. Very dissatisfied

Not durable. Malfunctioned in less than 2 years.
Less than 2 years after buying the washing machine, needed a repair that would cost another $450, basically making the machine a disposable item. Main computer board failed, which from my research is a common problem. Would not recommend this appliance. Washing machines should last more than 2 years.

Washes and washes and washer some more!
I usually don't get too excited about appliances unless they're kitchen gadgets but I'm pretty stoked about the washer and dryer. Looks can definitely be deceiving. This washer looks slim and trim but open the lid and it's HUGE! Like Bigly! It's so deep that I sometimes have to stand on my tip toes to reach the clothes at the bottom. I can wash everything in my home in this machine - large loads, comforters, even body pillows. Because it's so large I spend less time on laundry since I don't have to split loads in two now. It actually cleans well. It's not very loud either. My other machine sounded like a jet on the spin cycle and is have to wash sine loads twice. The washer is super simple to operate. There's a display that tells you how much time remains, and each cycle is easily identified by a light. I especially like that I can preset it to rinse twice and even fill the tub higher if needed. I have been using the washer and dryer for several weeks and am very pleased. On a related note. The haul away option is great. You still get the same service you would receive if you had purchased in-store. The delivery team is professional and knowledgeable as well

1 year and one month and 5 days NOT WORKING AT ALL
I very strongly recommend to NOT buy this product. I bought mine is a year old in a stop working and there’s nothing I can do. I mean I can buy insurance if I want to get it fixed. There is not even normally they give you some type of warranty or something and they don’t have anything so I have a brand new washer that literally it’s not working at all not recommended. So one of the people that works on watch and dryers through the insurance came and checked my washer and it said that it was the computer is bad and the heat does not recommend buying this type of washers because they’re only programmed to last a year and then the computer breaks down and then you had to invest on buying computers and then more items that will be breaking out, so I do not recommend buying this type of computer and what a shame that you will post this type of cell and then not even give warranty long enough so please people do not buy products like this.
