Sougayilang Telescopic Fishing Rod Reel Combos with Carbon Fiber Fishing Pole Spinning Reels and Fishing Accessories

Having recently moved back to Florida from Virginia, we had to briefly return to Virginia for my son's delayed high school graduation. We were staying there for a week or so for him to spend time with friends, so I wanted to be able to fish my old fishing holes. I have to admit I had serious doubts about the reliability of this rod and reel, but it worked flawlessly! It was really easy to pack in a carry-on bag and I loved having the extra spool for the reel so I could pre-spool two different line weights for whether I was creek or lake fishing. I had no trouble landing 1-1.5lb bass, hand-sized bluegill, 14" fall fish, and even a surprise 5-lb catfish. I didn't have any of the problems that the negative reviewers mentioned, and although I didn't exactly treat the combo delicately, I'm also not abusive with my gear either. On a side note, I'm really glad I bought this rod/reel combo instead of just buying something up in Virginia and just leaving it there -- there was little to no fishing gear available there! Now I'm thinking about buying a second one and bringing them both with me when vacationing or traveling.

I got two of these rods, one for myself and one for my dad for Father’s Day. We both love the rod! It’s really easy to use and I love that it can retract it, making it easily stored. The only thing is you do have to add the line to the reel yourself which is a little tricky, especially as a beginner. The manual included was a little helpful but I’m a visual learner so I looked up a video and was able to get it done in about 15 minutes. All in all it was great, not sure how it will handle a big fish but for now I’ve been loving it!

If you're looking for a pole to keep in your truck or in tight spaces, you could even keep this in your car underneath your seat. This is the pole highly recommend. It works beautifully

Seems good the first 2 uses then on the thirs it broke while casting. Pieces got in my hand and everything. Maybe a defect but wouldn't recommend this kind of quality.

The rod in this package is good, works well, but is fairly stiff. The only problem is there is not enough handle grip when the handle is extended. The line included in the package is sub standard, braided, just not useable. Kinked and knotted after 30 casts with spinner lures. The reel is ok, smooth on cranking, drag adjustment is ok, second spool is subpar. Included lures could be omitted, since it's a personal choice and not a good choice for beginners. Overall the package is adequate but not a good value for the money.

I used this product while on a fishing trip deep into the wild of Colorado. It held up well as I was able to haul in some nice Rainbow trout, however one of the eyes on the rod became unglued. With a simple communication back to the seller they stepped up and sent me a new rod. Love the portability and compactness as we hiked in 6 miles and back along the Vallecito Creek with no issue stowing the rod and creek in my compact backpack! Highly recommend!

As my previous review I started with a big like on this kit. I have only been able to use it five so far. During my last fishing outing the top telescopic shaft stuck open. I have tried everything to close it from warm water to cold water and two of the guides came loose in the process. I have tried to contact Sougaylang via e-mail, the contact us form and by telephone for two weeks with no response from them. The kit is still under warranty however it seems they don't have much interest in helping or bothering to return any of my messages. so my updated review is as follows. UNLESS YOU PLAN ON THROWING THE KIT IN THE TRASH BECAUSE SOMETHING WENT WRONG DON"T BUY IT!!! I ordered this kit as a gift for my son and got one for myself as well. We keep them in the car so we are ready to fish at a moments notice. The Rod is nicely constructed and the reel is very well designed. The extra spool is great for changing to a different line at a moments notice depending on the type of fishing we are going to do. The value of the kit is exceptional considering the quality is far superior than I expected. It was delivered on the expected date and the seller answered all my questions within 8 hours. I'm considering adding another for some drift fishing.

So incredibly cool! It works fantastic and I was blown away with how well it's made. So easy to pack away in the car. Go to your favorite spot, pull the telescoping rod out, cast your bait, then stand around all day not catching fish like you did with your old rod! The action is smooth and it feels good in the hand. Makes a great gift.

Came in perfect condition, will see how it works soon. Update, after a couple months of light use still works great. Nice little rod that packs around easily for this bicycling fisherwoman! Even caught a little pike, lol

The quality and feel of this reel and telescoping rod exceeded my expectations for the price. I plan to use it while fishing from my kayak on river and lakes so having the potential to compact the rod is a great feature. Now that I have it in hand it’s clear that it can be used for fishing in large body water as well. Totally impressed!

Have been using it all season, landed some beautiful northern pike, and I love it. She casts/reels like a dream. Hardware is solid all around. Its great for the price, friend liked it so much he bought himself one. Its strong, flexible, easy to extend, and retract. Absolute quality all around.
