## Questions & Answers

**Q: Does it shred cabbage fine for Cole slaw?**
A: I use it for cutting cabbage for sauerkraut.  Which is granted a little thicker cut.  That said, I had to open the blades up slightly because I thought the "as is" was a little too thin.  So I would say yes, it should do the job for Cole slaw.  FWIW, we used to cut it by hand, took a few hours.  This last batch of kraut we did (10 gallons), we shredded 16 heads of cabbage in 45 mins with this machine.  What a time saver.

**Q: Is this NSF approved?**
A: Not sure if it is “NSF approved” but it is made in the US and is made of 304 stainless steel which is the most common food grade of stainless steel. Not sure if this helps or not.

**Q: what is the range of blade adjustment in inches**
A: My husband said it is 1/4”, at the most.

### ⭐ Disappointed - UPDATE: VERY HAPPY

My original review was a 1 star (actually it would have been a zero) This unit is not well made and very unstable. The front legs would kick out even after securing with screws through the holes on the feet of the legs. Putting any kind of pressure when shredding cabbage, the unit collapses. This unit is not sturdy even after tightening the wings as much as possible. Very disappointing after picking heads of cabbage and ready to make sauerkraut. I will now use the mandolin that I already have. I thought this would be faster but it’s taken so much of my time already. I would definitely not recommend. Sending unit back. UPDATE: I received another unit from this company. They were absolutely great in their response to my review. I did not contact them - they contacted me after my review. They sent me a new unit. I used the new unit which worked properly without any issues. It made the process of cutting many heads of cabbage to make sauerkraut in a short period of time. The legs have been adjusted to support the unit and shredding worked wonderfully. I’m SO happy that they replaced the unit with a new one. NOW I would recommend this product and this company. They went above and beyond to improve their product and keep a happy customer. I now rate them with a 5 star. Great seller to work with - they care about their products and their customers. Would highly recommend without any hesitation.
