I don't think you can expose it to actual flames. When it arrived it looked like a roll of tinfoil and was very light. I opened it out and, as others had described, it was very thin. I do a lot of cookie baking and use up lots of baking paper so for this it is perfect. Definitely non-stick and fits perfectly in a standard oven tray.
