Looks like everyone is reviewing the plus model. I just got the new pro model, GMC 600 pro. It appears to be a re-modeled 600+.Here are some observations from using this for less than one hour.* very easy to use. starts with counts per minute.* It gives false readings if I hold it and move around.* it uses an easily removable li-ion battery, size 18650 or over size AA. But it is best to not remove it. Taking it out and putting it back on will soft reset the device. You'll have to fix the date - time.* there is no manual. but you can download the pdf.* this is a pro-sumer unit.

I always wanted one of these when I was a kid. Then suddenly my 14 year old son wanted one...so I just had to buy him this as a Christmas gift. He LOVES it and carries it with him everywhere. I know how geeky can I be...but you have to admit having a geiger counter is kinda fun :)

Great quality
It works great.Shows about 700-900CPM (α,β,γ) on my uranium glassware. My GMC-300E+ showed about 70CPM (β,γ).A pretty hefty device and feels well made. Also came with a belt pouch.

Für Alphastrahlung ideal. Radiacode ist da ja fast blind. Natürlich größer und schwerer, aber damit kann ich Leben.

Looks like a quality built.
I have both of the GMC-800 and this GMC-600 Pro. Apparently this one shows higher CPM as it picks up more particles. The GMC-800 cannot detect Alpha radiation. Both come with a USB cable, reference card and user manual. The difference is GMC-800 has a battery compartment that allows you to remove the battery which GMC-600 Pro doesn’t. Not a big deal, I put them on USB chargers most of the time. When going out, bring a power bank and you’re all set.

A fantastic Geiger Counter.
This is a fantastic bit of kit and very sensitive; being the only one of my many counters/scintillators that can detect the tritium alpha in a very old fishing float that is contained in acrylic. But as a UK buyer, be aware of the delivery charge and the £100 pound extra you will have to pay in import duty - OUCH!

Funktioniert gut. Die Akkulaufzeit ist relativ kurz, dadurch gibt es immer wieder viele Tage dazwischen, wo dadurch nichts angezeigt wird.Wir überprüfen damit auch Obst, Gemüse, Wild aus Gebieten mit vielen AKWs.
