Amazing OEM Replacement
The previous that was on my 2007 Prius was Dorman that the previous owner had installed on it that had failed and I replaced it with this one which is supposed to be the OEM for this car seeing as how aisin ships this part to Toyota the part I received was completely genuine I’m not sure if everyone will have the same experience but this actually fixed an issue I was having with my car where the engine was idling very strongly and it would shake the whole car when it was charging the 12 V battery I didn’t even know that replacing the part would do that I simply replaced it because the old one failed but that was a very happy coincidence as I had originally thought that the shaking was just normal for the car I highly recommend buying this part if yours fails although I cannot guarantee that you will also receive a genuine part(amazon mixes its third party and main products together so theres a chance you might not get an authentic aisin part) but if you do as i did then good for you. also when you get the part maybe try looking for some indicators that it might be authentic (numbers letters or little circle indents etc) before you install it, Google will help you a lot with this.

OEM quality that'll last.
Very easy install and quality matches the original. Also a quick note to anyone else replacing your pump, make sure you bleed the system afterwards to eliminate any noise and get rid of the air in the inverter cooling system. Don't cheap out on these pumps either, buy the genuine part from AISIN!

Pump failed after 8 months. Do not buy!!!!!!! Get one from the port store with a proper warranty.

OEM part received
Aisin is the OEM manufacturer for the Toyota part. As received from the "Aisin Store", it is 100% form/fit/function compatible. Obviously recommended.

Works well and good price
I installed this in my 2008 Prius. It looks just like the original. I installed the Dorman pump from NAPA before I installed this one because I didn't have time to wait for this one in the mail since the original pump had stopped working. The Dorman worked, but it's about twice the height, and twice the price as this pump. I had the Dorman pump in my car for three days before I received this pump and replaced it. I then cleaned the Dorman pump and returned it to NAPA for a full refund, no questions asked. I then bought a second one of these to have on hand if-and-when the first one quits working. I have put 8,000 miles on the car with this pump so far.

Perfectly functional
Note that this does not come with the mounting bracket, but usually those are fine with your car already the pump works great, may not push as much water as the oem one but it work good. You also have to take out the metal screw spacers from the old pump too.

I like that this pump fixed my 2004 Prius Inverter Cooler Water Pump Over Heating Problem. I could physically see this pump was circulating the coolant much better than the original pump, which I couldn't see any appreciable fluid movement at all. After the repair I drove for over 3000 km without any error code or over heating problem. So far so good.

Unable to verify authenticity of part, no numbers, box unsealed, no security stickers.
Disappointed that there is NO way to verify this is a genuine pump. Zero stickers, no casting marks, an unsealed AISIN box, no literature with it either. This should have a genuine security seal on the box and a proper part number cast into it with a seal. What's the point of buying it and paying the price then? It's 6x the cheapo unit online, would love to know it's legit BEFORE installing it. How could they even warranty it or track bad batches?
