S&X Outdoor Stair Treads Non-Slip 6x24in, 5-Pack, Reflective

Needed to use these to replace old stickers at my condo unit. These are great and I like the glow in the dark strip, it’s not too bring but just enough at night. Very easy to install. I did not try to alter the size, they were perfect size as is. The texture is gripping and secure.

I’ve only had these S&X Outdoor Stair Treads for about two weeks, but so far I can’t tell any difference in appearance, ease of installation, traction, or overall quality compared to the much more expensive 3M treads. To be clear, I’m not criticizing the 3M product—my previous set lasted an impressive seven years. After repairing my outdoor steps, I decided it was time for a fresh set. I was ready to spend about $10 per tread on the 3M version, but I came across the S&X treads and decided to give them a try. I’m glad I did. The material feels durable, the color is rich, and the surface provides an excellent balance of grip and comfort underfoot. They’ve stayed firmly in place through both rain and hot weather, and I have every reason to believe they’ll continue to perform well. One tip: Before applying the treads, I thoroughly cleaned my tile steps and wiped them down with rubbing alcohol. That extra preparation is well worth the effort. It’s the same method I used with my previous treads, and the adhesive held strong for years—even with repeated snow shoveling during Northeast winters. Based on my experience so far, I highly recommend these stair treads, especially considering their value compared to the premium-priced alternatives.

the strips work as advertised, but getting the tape backing off is a horrible task. the backing should remove much more easily otherwise I would give the product 5 stars

Easy to install on slick tile entry steps. Our dog can now comfortably climb the steps again, especially when they’re wet.

Very good treads for outdoor steps

I bought these because we spend a lot of time on our patio. My husband is visually impaired and our steps leading to our patio are not well lit. I wasn’t hoping that the glow in the dark stripe on the tread would be more visible than it is. The stairs are in bright sun all day but the stripe really is not well seen at night. I do like that that it increases the grip on the stairs but the adhesion is starting to loosen and I’m afraid they will not hold out long term. I would not purchase these again.

These are easy to apply and when they stick, they work well making a non-slip surface. My stairs are not smooth and even, which is probably what caused some of them not to stick. When it rains, the bottom three stairs get wet and are extremely slippery for my kids and dogs. The top two stairs that don't get as much direct rain have stayed in place for months now. We have two dogs over 100 lbs and they walk on these every day and they haven't moved. It is probably because the bottom stairs get so much water and they aren't as even as the top, so they didn't last long at all. I like that the strip glows in the dark. It adds a little extra to the stairs at night. Overall, I think if our stairs were newer and even, they would've probably been perfect.

Unser Hund hat auf den Fliesen der Treppe das Problem das er keinen Halt findet und wegrutscht. Daher haben wir eine Möglichkeit gesucht das zu ändern. Die Streifen haben wir bei kühlen Temperaturen geklebt und der Kleber hält bisher sehr gut! Der Hund (und auch die Oma) haben jetzt mehr Halt auf der Treppe. Zur Langzeithaltbarkeit kann ich noch nichts sagen da die Streifen erst etwa 7 Wochen aufgebracht sind, bisher trotz Dauerregen und tiefen Temperaturen halten die aber sehr gut. Mittlerweile, also etwa 2 Jahre weiter kann ich sagen das diese Rutsch Stopp Streifen immer noch auf den Stufen kleben und ihre Aufgabe erledigen.

If you have any outdoor decking or any other "slippery when wet" outdoor surfaces, this might just save yours or your child's life. They're so easy to apply and the instructions to do so are clear. They're incredibly strong and have the ideal thickness and grip to give you confidence in their reliability. With an adjustable, easily cuttable design, they're a bargain. The glow stripe is a little thin. If I could change anything about this product, it would be to increase it's width. But that being said, it is still fully noticeable.

Don't stick as they should, a total waste if money.
