Will replacing the cartridge get rid of the horrible tasting water? The water in the rest of the house is fine. Only tastes bad (metallic)

I replaced the cartridge because the faucet was dripping - the new cartridge fixed this problem but the cartridge is not a filter so i don't think it would change the taste of your water - we always use water from the refrigerator that is filtered by the refrigerator.

You really need to contact a company that specializes in plumbing parts to get the info you need, but you don't necessarily have to order from them. Since model numbers may have changed, you need to know exactly which cartridge will work with your faucet. If you order the wrong one, vendors will NOT take them back -- I learned that the hard way.

Is this the correct replacement valve for Hansgrohe Talis Loop pull down kitchen faucet?

The M3 cartridge works with the Solaris, Monsoon, Stratos, Metro, S, Proaktive and Retroaktiv models. I do not know if it works with the Talis Loop pull down. If you have the Installation Instructions, (may be able to get them on the Hansgrohe website), it will tell you which cartridge works with your Talis model on page 2, where the specs are listed.
