Preliminary review, so far good
Okay this is a preliminary review. I just got it yesterday. I was able to take two capsules. One at one time of the day and one at the other. Between meals. Then I took one more in the evening. Because you want to take it on an empty stomach. It did not upset my stomach. I did hear my stomach moving all through the night. Off and on. Which to me was a good sign. Because usually I wake up in the morning and I'm just stuck. Like a brick. Then this morning I took two capsules, since the one three times yesterday didn't upset my stomach. You want to make sure you start slowly. But there's been so many great reviews. On this product. Course I have to see if it works for me personally, but so far even just hearing my stomach move last night. Funny thing to say, but it made me feel hopeful.

Worked for me!
First off, this product has ginger therefore some people will experience ginger burn. Those who have acid reflux are more prone to this. Drink a glass of water when you take it, and if you do struggle with acid reflux donโt lay down at least 30 minutes after taking. Just some tips I heard from a doctor on a podcast talking about pro kinetics. For more info on prokinetics, Dr. Allison Siebeker is a great choice! So I bought this and I started taking it and it seemed to do nothing for me. My RD put me on a protocol and my bowel movements were great. I thought it was the protocol, and these were doing nothing so I stopped taking them for about a week. Well that week I wasnโt having much luck with BMs, so I figured let me start taking this again. And the next day, my BMs were normal again! This worked for me. However, everyoneโs body is different and thereโs different prokinetics.

Definite Improvement
I had done a lot of research on supplements that might help gut motility and ease my gastroparesis symptoms. MotilPro was my choice because it had unique ingredients proven to help gut motility and was manufactured by a very reputable company. I was a little hesitant to purchase because of reviews citing "ginger burn" as an issue. However, if taken as directed, I haven't found that to be a problem. I only take one capsule at a time. If I need to take 2 at the same time, I wait 10-15 minutes between. With my gastroparesis my digestive system would occasionally seem to just "stop" for a few days. I have not had that problem since I began this supplement. Seems to keep everything moving. Very pleased. UPDATE: This definitely works. After taking this for a couple months, I took a break, thinking that maybe I didn't really need it . . . Plus it is pricey. However, within a couple weeks of being off this I started experiencing motility issues again. Of course. I reordered, and within a few days things started to imorove again. So I've decided it's definitely worth the money for me. Also, just a side note: I am taking 3 capsules first thing in the morning (about an hour before eating) along with 2 magnesium capsules. I do the same before bed. I found this to help the best for my gastroparesis. To avoid "ginger burn" start slowly and build up dose.

If you have SIBO, read this.
We've dealt with SIBO-induced constipation, leading to encopresis, leading to a flare and diagnosis of Crohn's. Miralax made things much worse (if you have SIBO, avoid it at all costs!). Magnesium works really well to soften the stool, but it doesn't do anything to move things out, so to speak. Mineral oil helped get things moving, but not enough. Senna based laxatives worked to some extent, but I was very concerned about long term use and possible cancer risk, and again, they did nothing to address the underlying cause of the problem (SIBO). We changed to a diet that supposedly works by reducing bad bacteria (SCD and/or combo of low FODMAP). The low FODMAP diet made things worse in the long run (over 2 years, it destroyed the good gut bacteria...you're supposedly only supposed to do it for 4-6 weeks, tops, but researchers didn't discover that until recently). SCD works really well, but again, it doesn't address the reduced motility that (at least in our case) likely caused the SIBO in the first place. Enter MotilPro. The 5-HTP works as a serotonin precursor (supposedly), which is similar to some of the pharmaceuticals that have been used for IBS over the years. The other stuff (mostly vitamins) helps speed things along. The ginger seems to work on some aspect of the motility receptors in the gut. Overall, this seems to really work! Unfortunately, it seems that, at therapeutic doses, it causes abdominal pain. If we do three pills (the recommended dose) it causes great motility, but pain. If we do two pills, the pain is less but I don't know if it works well enough. We tried it more than two weeks after finishing antibiotics the first time we dealt with SIBO, so it was likely too late in the game to make a difference. We're currently using it in conjunction with antibiotics this time around, so hoping there is some sort of synergistic effect and that we can drop off the dose as time goes on. Not sure. Our other options seem to be low dose naltrexone or erythromicin, per Dr. Siebecker's research (http://www.siboinfo.com/). Will update in a few months after things settle down a bit. Right now, I feel it's such a great product, hence the four stars, but in our case, the side-effects my trump the positives. Would give it a five star rating if the side effects were lower.

Gentle stomach relief
This is a great, simple, safe product. I take 1 cap 30 mins before lunch and dinner, and it really helps with my gastroparesis. The ingredients are high quality, and its a very trusted brand. The pills are easy to swallow with no taste or smell. I would recommend starting with 1 cap twice a day and working up slowly if needed. The directions on the bottle are super helpful as well.

Good product, however my supplements arrived spoiled! Buyer Beware! Do not purchase from Amazon.
The bottle was not opened or damaged upon arrival - but it has been very hot this summer, so this packaged arrived very warm right off the postal truck - there was no special cold packing, just a regular amazon mailer. When opening the supplements I immediately noticed a strong smell, just like Apple Cider Vinegar, but I thought perhaps it's supposed to smell like that? Since this was my first time purchasing and using this product, I didn't know what to expect, so I took the recommended dose for 2 days - feeling worse and worse all the while. But, since I have Sibo and IBS, it can sometimes be difficult to pinpoint exactly what is causing your symptoms (stomache upset, diarrhea ect). As I continued to decline, I knew something was off, so I contacted the manufacturer - and they said that Motilpro should NOT smell like apple cider vinegar (just like ginger or have not strong smell), and to immediately stop taking the supplement, and and return it - which I did (holding on to 3 pills in a tightly sealed container for later comparison). I then purchased Motilpro directly from the manufacturer website, and by compared it to the pills I had received from amazon. The new pills had a subtle odor, closer to ginger - and not like the pills I'd gotten from amazon. By this point, this 3 pills from the spoiled packaged had begun to smell like Mayonnaise (even though they were just over a week out of the package) - and the difference between the two shipments was obvious. This is a big deal, especially for those who are fighting SIBO because food poisoning is a leading cause and contributor to the illness. So, for a product that's supposed to help you heal your MMC to potentially make you sicker or cause a relapse is devastating. With ALL that said - I've been taking the new pills regularly, and they work great for me. I take them in between meals and I can feel activity begin in my digestive tract almost instantly.

These things save my life everyday!
I learned about these when I was very sick with what I think was a bowel obstruction in 2017. The doctors gave me Linzess (horrible synthetic crap) to go, but I did research and came across these in my IBS type Facebook groups. I took three to start since I was not having a bowel movement on my own without an enema. I was sooooo relieved when these worked and I was having a bowel movement every morning when I took these at night. The veggie encapsulation is easy to take, you may get some ginger burps afterwards, but hey, I'll do anything to poo... these things got me going again along with natural calm at night, but honestly I think I'd poo without the natural calm and just taking these. If you cant poo daily and have IBS, you will not be sorry. I take one a day now and the bottle lasts me months. Totally worth the approximately $10 a month to poo. Yup!

Great for digestion
MotilPro has helped me a lot, especially since I have SIBO. Iโve noticed improvements in my digestion and less bloating. It works gently but effectively over time and has made a difference in my daily comfort.
