Excellent and Brilliantly Detailed Perfume Book
This richly illustrated book provides a comprehensive overview of perfume history. From ancient Egyptian scents like "Mendes" (which bears an interesting resemblance to the priestly anointing oil described in the Old Testament!) to the French "perfumed court" to a wealth of detail on modern-day classics, anyone from utter novice to expert "nose" should appreciate this. Lovely addition to any perfume library; a gem to be re-read and savored for years to come.
