So far, this seems excellent
This gauge looks and feels very cheap, but it works fine and seems accurate across the ranges I've tested. The reason I bought it is because my other gauges didn't read voltages above 6000 volts. It agrees well with their readings up to their limits. and measures the exact output of my electric fence charger which has a stated output of 10,400 volts.

Quit working
I bought it December 2025 and February 2 2026 it just quit working. Replaced the battery but it still doesn’t work.

Works well!
We started with a rocky career of electric fences and were slightly shocked by them 2-3 times. This seems like a much safer option than testing it by grabbing it with your hands! For that reason, i am super excited to have this electric fence tester, and this makes a quite convenient gift, i am excited to have a different way to test our fences.

Inexpensive must have for farms
No way to change reading from kv to v or to test joule output but reads easily and accurately.

Don’t buy
It didn’t work at all. I tried using other batteries just in case it was faulty batteries but it was just a faulty product
