In fact, it just had a thin plastic wrapper. All parts were lose jiggling in the box. When trying to assemble, one part was missing. To my dismay, the drilling hole to insert screws were not the size to fit screws. After I have partially assembly it, it looked unpleasant. I can rate this item extremely poorly. I returned the item back and purchased a wooded French hat rack, which are so beautiful, easy to assemble but has no wheels. I purchased two of those. **Q: Does this com apart or once you put it together it stays?** A: It stays fairly well, but can come apart. **Q: how is the piece to screw the hat ring works cannot get to screw in** A: Follow the instruction and you will do very good. I bought that item I think 2 years ago and is still working very well.
