If you're either seeking a memoir or an informative book on angels, 'Angels in My Hair' will delight. Having read other books on angel communication, I did not expect this to be so well-written. It is composed of gorgeous prose and imagery, so much so, that I began to slow my reading to savor the passages. This is a life-story, a gentle walk on an old path through so many different circumstances: the ups and downs life brings. It eyewitness Irish history, through Lorna, who also has an added gift of speaking to angels. Through her eyes we're able to see our world anew. We're able to come to new understandings, new insights, about why/how things are. We will also come to know angels and their simplistic nature, guidance, and ability to speak to us, a gift we all have. I learned so much, simply through example, and it's carrying me. If you're seeking guidance to talk to angels, this truly is the one. Lorna's story is bittersweet, honest, and has stayed with me these weeks, as both guidance and comfort. If nothing else, this book is one of hope: it will make you feel hopeful--even if you thought you had a lot of hope, you'll have even more. (Teachers/librarians), I would use this book in both a memoir writing class and a book club, as it is rich in discussion. I found myself talking about it everywhere, with anyone I could. (Yes, even my angels.) Angel enthusiasts, it's authentic, as far as angels go, in that it is universal... (some 'angel' people try to make angels about a religion or put their own ideas/intuitions and claim it's angels, or especially in the US market, you'll read a lot of hub-bub that's just not true about angels, just to sell a book.) No, this is the real deal, an honest, gentle effort and giving. A true gift as far as books are concerned. If you are looking for a gentle book, for someone who loves or lived in Ireland in the 1950s (or even in the US), you'll enjoy the nostaliga here, to read of another's life. If you're thinking of a book for your grandmother/mother, yes, they'll love it. I'm truly grateful for reading this book. I don't need another angel book. (Anything else is imitation). I hope this helps with your decision. In short, this is not noise, but a gentle book in service to others.

Loved this book! I cried and laughed throughout this book. I was impressed with the description of the Angels. It was very vivid. Also the Angels involvement with the dying process was well explained and comforting. I have been an active church going person since I was 5 and never knew that there were so many levels of Angels. I only knew of a few.

This was a phenomenal book. It helped me realize the power of God through His Angels! Could not put this book down! It’s a must read!!!

Your should read this book first. Although she can not prove what happen to her. Her life seems true and real. With my experiences; Angels are real. She of course has had a lifetime of her life communicating with lots of Angels. It all seems very real. Everything she says seems real and helpful. I love reading her books. Unfortunately some of here books are getting really expensive so those that could be help can't afford the prices. Making lots of money is more important. The rich need to get richer. I am glad she lived a life of being poor so she knows these prices are harming people who need helpbut can't afford these books selling on Amazon. Because of this I can only give her 4 stars although the books are really 5 stars. Thank you for working with Angels

The book was written in a very personal manner. It was much like a conversation to me about angels, faith, and love. Some spiritual books are too heady, scholarly, or idealistic. This was down to earth about daily struggles in life and faith. It got me thinking about angels as a part of life and as shipmates. My wife and I read it at the same time. This book is amazing. It made me feel closer to God and all the Angels. Lorna has been thru so much and she never gave up on her faith, God and the Angels. I am praying more now than I ever have. Thank you for the inspiration.

You will fall in love with Lorna Byrne when you read this first of her books. Very moving account of her life growing up poor and illiterate in Ireland while being taught by Angels. Lorna was considered retarded and would have wound up in a home if her parents had followed the norm. Thankfully, they did not put Lorna away and she was free to live her life interacting the angels around herself and everyone else, no matter what your belief system is (or isn't!) I highly recommend this book for anyone and everyone who wonders what else is going on in the Universe?!

Such a fun book, could hardly put it down. Lorna has a beautiful life story about how from a small child her angels were all around her helping her and communicating with her on how to walk the path of life. It made me want to try it out and as I did, I found that the angels really do help you in even small tasks.

This book has changed my life, and it can change the lives of anyone who reads it! Brings comfort, joy and peace to know that we are never alone, we have our Guardian Angels by our side throughout our whole lives, to help guide us along the way. We only need to ask for their help, and they are here! So uplifting! Highly recommend this book!! So blessed to have Lorna Byrne to help us all, through her books!!

Really lovely story, great knowledge, it helps you to feel connected, to understand simple acts are just enough for you and for the angels, to make this, a better place to be.

This book is extremely authentic and readable. Lorna tells her life's story with truth and writes unflinchingly about her adult struggles with poverty, a lack of education as a child and being treated as a 'retarded' offspring by her parents when she was little. It is also equally amazing that the author possesses a gift for healing that very few have and that she can see angels in her natural state of mind without having to resort to meditation or spiritual practices. Lorna might be a world renowned healer today and the toast of the spiritual world, but the parts in the book that I most resonated with were those that told of her very human struggles -- of the pain of losing her husband at a comparatively young age, of dealing with a miscarriage, of the strained relationship with her parents for a great part of her life etc. As a Nichiren Buddhist for many years now, we are taught to believe that hardships are an inescapable part of life and, in fact, they forge us and make us strong. So while Lorna writes about her struggles with Satan as a duel between the forces of God and Satan, as a Buddhist I believe that this is the struggle between the forces of darkness and light within one's own being. And that spiritual evolution is really a process of forging oneself and overcoming one's own weaknesses...or of human revolution. I find it interesting, for example, that Lorna can view the deformed body of a child in a pram (as related in the book) and see in another dimension a playful and lovable, even perfect, soul in it. What she is teaching us then is to look beyond surface appearances and view every living being as perfect and lovable, something we Buddhists believe can only issue forth from a very elevated state of life. O, how I would love to possess such vision! In fact the last 25 years of my Buddhist practice, from one aspect, have been in pursuit of this. I hope I can achieve just such a state (which comes almost without effort to the author?) in this lifetime through my Buddhist practice?

人生でたくさんの苦労をしながら、天使とのコミュニケーションができる作者。犬が危篤だったので、介護の合間にこれを読むのが何よりも癒しになりました。見えない存在を信じて、祈ることの大切さを実感できた本です。すっかりファンになり、作者の２冊目、３冊目も買い読み進めています。難しくない、読みやすい文章なので、疲れていても、す〜と入ってくる内容です。天使にも色々な姿があるのだなというのも、面白かったです。
