I was told to stay on a low fiber/no meat diet for a while. They suggested pasta and rice as a base. When I saw this I thought...it's Barilla...how bad can it be. It was pretty darn good with a little drizzle of quality olive oil and parm cheese sprinkled on top. Now I can eat seafood and right away thought about this with sauteed shrimp and fresh garlic tossed in. As usual, I checked for the product on desertcart and see they've got a 4 pack available through Subscribe and Save....my favorite way to shop. I'm looking forward to trying the shrimp dish. While the tortellini is cooking I'll quickly saute fresh shrimp and chopped fresh garlic in a little olive oil and a small pat of butter for rich flavor. Toss that into the cooked pasta and top with a little grated cheese.....yummy!!!!! Can't wait to add veggies to this dish. One bag serves 4 or, if you're a robust eater, provides 2 REALLY generous servings. By the way...leftovers keep well in the frig for days and reheat well if not over cooked so singles or someone cooking for two shouldn't shy away from cooking a whole bag at once. Review: We loves these! - These Barilla Cheese Tortellini are so good! we love them with or without sauces. Plain with a bit of butter is a fave at this house. I also use them in soups too. Thank you desertcart for carrying these! Update on Review Sept. 9, 2015: The latest bags I got from desertcart, Sub & Save, are from old stock! I received them on July 16th, 2015. The product expiration date is for Aug 23, 2015! The bags were all wrinkled and looked like hell. At least there were no holes that I can find in any of the bags. In my experience, This brand of tortellini are edible for about 6 months after the expiration date. Much past that, they begin to taste stale but are still usable. But, I was expecting fresher product that I could store for a bit. So I am not too happy with this order.

Best tortellini available - but can be tricky to cook right
After experimenting with different cooking methods, I found that the best way to fully cook this tortellini without it falling apart is to soak it at room temperature for approximately 1 hour, drain, and place in boiling water for about 2 minutes. No more under-hydrated or falling-apart tortellini!

Exceptionally good!
These are awesome especially with some Barilla marinara sauce, just boil the pasta, heat up the marinara and combine for an almost instant Italian restaurant quality meal right at home. Superb taste and price value.
