Bought this for my husband. He loves it. However, it does not come with ants and any you find on amazon does not come with a queen. He is having a good time with it though.

Ants won’t dig through sand without starting a tunnel.
It’s… okay. The ants didn’t really do much to the provided soil at first, but they REALLY made progress when I used water to start tunnels for them!

They could be more careful with their stock
Took a bit to get it as it ships from Spain. It's a nice design. There are a few scratches on the bottom of the base and though that isn't a deal breaker for what it costs it should be perfect so they lose a star. One reviewer was complaining that it's tinted blue. It's not. That's a blue film they put on the plastic to protect it. You peel the film off. The plastic is clear.

The price says it all well worth it.
This oversized sand ant house is perfect i recommend connecting a tube to a large second ant house preferably one with a large forging aera just make sure the aera around the tube is a tight fit also use before adding ants silicone aquarium sealer alow 2 to 3 days for it to dry. Harvester ants will do great especially if you have a queen.
