A week ago the fan control module failed in my 2005 Suburban and had to be replaced. During the diagnosis for this repair, I checked and confirmed that all the rest of the automatic temp control system was working as it should, including using my power probe to power and check the fan motor. Two days ago the fan quit again. I figured the new control module was a bad one, but no, after running a full diagnostic from the fuse to the fan, the fan was the culprit. So I ordered this one and got it installed today. Couple of installation tips. First, unlike the description for some of the replacement fans, this one already has the foam gasket installed to seal it in the housing so no need to swap from the old one. Second, the lugs that bayonet the fan into the housing on this new one had square leading edges, where the OEM fan had the leading edges tapered. With the square edges there was no way I could get the fan to turn and lock into the housing. I took a knife and trimmed just a tiny bit of the leading edge at an angle. After that, it installed just right and the retaining tab clicked into place. Seems to push about the same air as the original, and is super quiet. Hope it lasts. PS the picture is of how to trim the lugs to make it easier to install. This is a picture of the old fan but shows you what needs to be done.

Easy installation however beware the "tab" can break pretty easy. It still installed fine and I didn't reduce star rating because I will own the mistake but just be wary. ALSO! THE RESISTOR sold here should be replaced also if your motor went bad, but BEWARE the one I purchased DID NOT FIT despite my application being listed as gtg ...ENSURE you have the correct part. I am not happy to need to modify brackets or reorder.

Put the first one in and everything went fine. Easy install. No instructions came with it. No sound at all. Had it in for about two weeks and the motor on it burned out and sent smoke through my entire truck while driving down the interstate. I put in an order for a replacement. Well update when the next one comes in.

Seems to be well made. Came with the foam gasket installed, which some have said it did not. Also, I didn't scientifically measure it, but it seems to blow just as hard as the one I replaced (although I believe it was aftermarket as well). If you need more air moving than this, buy a Jeep. Only reason for 4 stars is the install. Something must be molded slightly differently on this one. The old unit would install in about 30 seconds. This one was 30 minutes of a twisted contortionist cuss fest under my dash before it FINALLY locked into place. To be certain I stuck the previous one back in 3x during the process to check the orientation, etc. I don't think it would have to be off much to make a difference.

Was having some issues with the heating and AC in my 2003 Yukon and did some YouTube digging to figure out the problem. Previously replaced the resistor (which solved the problem for a day or two), but I still had some squealing when it was running and then it eventually stopped working altogether. I found this on Amazon for WAY cheaper than in stores and swapped it out in about 10 minutes and everything's back to normal! NOTE: I did come across a video from a shop that aid if you're replacing one of these components, you'll likely want to go ahead a do both at the same time because even with a new resistor, a faulty blower could put strain on it and end up damaging that as well. Wish I knew that before I did the first repair, but all's good now and I'm nice and toasty in my car again in this snowy Ohio weather!

The price is pretty good and I didn't expect a miracle. It wasn't as easy to put in as it should be, you kind of have to force it fit into the keyway. I obviously didn't get it in completely because it came loose about a month later. I put it back in and 5 months later it's really loud. It was louder than the original when I first put it in, which was fine, but now it's annoyingly loud. It blows air so it does what it's supposed to do just wish it was a lot quieter

This didn't fit. It showed up and is too small to fit and plug connection is wrong. It is not like the picture shows.

Showed up quick, but now squeaking after two weeks good grief. Time for a return
