It packs a big punch even with the slightest bit of gel applied to area. It is also non-greasy and in my opinion has a very fresh, airy and somewhat earthy aroma as well. My top pro however for buying it, was I got it as a sample and since then I ordered one a few years back to overcome a wrist injury (both wrists were sprained but one had stronger pain than the other) from a benching injury at the gym. It worked incredibly well and penetrated deep into the muscle tissue, it also lasted long enough to work through it. My second time using it was for a lower and mid back ache years ago, it was highly effective however due to the severity of it required application every 3-4 hours. For *most* aches and pains, such as neck or shoulder pain I say it's the best lotion in the market. I have tried menthol creams which have more of a surface area effect that while effective does not necessarily penetrate to the extent that Blue Goo's EMU oil version does, this one however goes beyong just the surface area - it won't just null the pain and cause a cold-hot/hot-cold effect it will actually go further than a menthol lotion would and thus, can last longer time period while being very effective. For the purposes of gym, strenuous activity and general ache purposes I have recommend this product to dates, co workers and friends and it will be my go to going forward. Form factor: Another incredible benefit actually is the "pop top" opening that does not require a separate cap, so for those traveling or wanting this it's great. The long side bottle actually fits in most cabinets, bathroom storage units and most bags (ziplock bags too). In this regard it's also the best designed pain relief product as it's made for the purpose of quickly picking up and using as necessary. I highly recommend it even if you don't have a need for it right now, you may need it in the future and you'll be more than glad you had it on hand.

Several years ago I saw a jar of this stuff in Walmart. I purchased my tried & true product for relief of lower back pain & picked up a jar of Blue Goo on impulse. I had zero expectations that it would work, but it was only $5 for 4 oz. If it worked I'd save in the long run. A couple of weeks later my husband & I spent Memorial Day weekend doing major maintenance on the exercise equipment at the gym I owned. By Sunday noon, my back was killing me. I grabbed the Blue Goo & slapped some on my back. We headed to lunch. When we got back an hour later, my back was fine. It stayed that way all of the rest of that day & the next. I bought another jar so I would have one at home & one at work. I started recommending it to members. Most were skeptical, but it worked for them, too. The old product remains unused. A couple of days ago, I developed a sharp pain in my left hip. I brought out my Blue Goo. I had just enough for 2 applications, which was enough to do the job. I headed to Walmart & was dismayed when I didn't find it. I was delighted to find it on Amazon. It's more expensive, but worth it.

I wish I didn't like this stuff as it contains "emu oil" (oil from an emu, a flightless bird) and I prefer to avoid animal products; however, it actually works unlike icy hot and so on. It does the typical icy then hot feeling of this genre, but the real pain relief for me comes independently of either icy or hot. I don't think the formulation is as effective as it used to be... maybe they are using less emu oil these days. Why flightless bird oil would help my pain is beyond me, but so it does.

My husband is in pain all the time from arthritis mostly in his knees and shoulders. We have tried EVERYTHING we have heard of to get some relief for him. Blue Goo was recommended by a user and we ordered some. This product helps more than ANYTHING he has tried before. He's tried rubs, pain patches. exercises, walking, not walking, anything we heard that might give some relief. We ordered a small quantity of Blue Goo (not really expecting any more relief than other products). What a blessing when he tried it! NOTHING is going to eliminate ALL arthritis pain, but Blue Goo does much more than anything he's used before. He moves with less pain, therefore he moves more. He even mowed the whole lawn yesterday! He loves being outside so this was a double blessing! He said, "Next time you order it, order two large ones." Now I've tried it and it helps my back more than anything I've used also. I'll be glad when the two large ones arrive because we're almost fighting over the only one we have now!

I could not easily get the product out of the bottle to spread on the area where it was needed. I had no luck getting the product through the cap as I thought I could through the opening, and ended up removing the cap and shaking product into my hand for applying where needed. I won't re-order it, but will use other products that are more easily used.

My dad really struggles with knee pain and we’ve been searching for a gel everywhere and finally was recommended to get this one and he said it’s really good and gets hot really fast and stays hot for a while.

After I bought blue goo the first time I went to buy more and it was no longer carried in stores. I searched and found it on Amazon and so relieved as it is the best pain reliever I have ever found. I broke my should and arm a few years ago and when I have pain in the area I rub a small amount on and the pain is gone! I need a new knee but then broke my shoulder so that waits and when too much pain, a small amount rubbed in of blue goo and the pain is gone! Works well for me and hopefully for you also. It's so worth the try. Sports teams use it too!

Soothing, menthol feel and smell and instantaneous relief. Can't get enough of this!!!
