Review: Fantastic paint. - So far I absolutely love it. I did it when it was a little bit too cold but it still worked out fine. I was amazed at how tough it is when I was sanding to add a 3rd coat. The clean up was ok for a natural Bristle brush in thinner. It says xylene but I just used regular paint thinner and it did ok. I got it on my skin and it was a nightmare to get off and I had to wear off most of it. I will update my review after I have had some time to see what it does and how long its gona last. I also used black industrial enamel as a top coat. Review: Rust Bullet- Worth the Money - This stuff is by far the best rust stopper out there. It is NOT a rust converter. Once it cures, it is very, very tough and impregnable to acetone, xylene, toluene, lacquer thinner, etc...every thing that would normally dissolve a paint or primer. As a test, I cut a rusty panel out of a car and left some parts rusty, some parts I wirebrushed, and then painted with this stuff. I deliberately left rusty edges to check for rust creep. This metal has set outside my shop for three years now, occasionally being lost by being covered with wet leaves. The Rust Bullet shows no signs of rust through and rust doesn't seem to be creeping up from the edges. As noted by others though, USE GLOVES!! Nothing short of a grinder will take it off your skin. Another suggestion, buy in small containers because once opened, it will start to cure. I use Bloxygen to retard the curing and keep it usable for a couple months.

It worked good, you had to double coat it and then ...
I used the other rust treatment first. It worked good, you had to double coat it and then you have to topcoat it because its UV sensitive. Silver Rust Bullet covered in one coat and does not require top coating, oh and its cheaper. Now this is not a long term evaluation on how good it does taking care of the rust. Most of what I used it on was lightly rusted metal cleaned with rust converter then coated with both paints in different areas. Why because I ran out of the other brand then needed more so I tried Rust Bullet. Both dry harder than rock and are really hard to scuff. Rust Bullet is less expensive, I only needed one coat to cover and doesn't require top coating.

Great stuff!
This stuff is awesome. The color is a light metallic grey, so it almost looks like stainless when it dries. Its also a pretty thick substance so it sticks really well and seals well (took two weeks to get it off my skin). One gallon was far more than enough to coat the entire frame on my '99 Ford Ranger super cab, as well as undercoating the entire bed. brushed on easily with cheap disposable foam brushes (used about a dozen or so), would probably roll well too, but kind of thick to spray. Would absolutely recommend Rust Bullet.

This stuff is fabulous
Referred by a friend who painted just the roof of a rusty old truck. 10 years later the Rust Bullet is holding strong. Incredible stuff. Not sure how well you could paint over it with professional autopaint but for my stuff this is perfect.
